Premium Member What My Dentist Said
I spoke out against the moral depravity.

My words were filled with emotional gravity.

But my dentist told me I just had another cavity....

We are on this earth to love and listen.
Not with pomposity to walk, thinking...
our poems are hot stuff that glistens!

Dialectic Pomposity and Other Name Calling
DIALECTIC POMPOSITY and other name calling
    by V. Anderson-Throop

Dialectic Pomposity
Still chases me---
Elitist snob---
What is the precise
termonology
For an individual
Erudite
With droll wit
Who encounters
Ecstasy
With the
Conspicuous consumption
Of books?...

Mind In Humility
M-ind in humility
O-bliterates the confusion;
N-euron speaks to the heart,
A-iming to erase erroneous assumption.

O-pen mind in meekness
L-ets the conceit decay
I-nto the depth of oblivion,
V-icious pride fades
A-way.

N-ever ignore being modest,
A-bstaining from pomposity;
T-wenty-eighth morn of May,
E-levate your mind in humility....

Clarity
CLARITY of a moment
so ever short
is what chanced
to visit this day
it did not knock
or ring its presence
should I complain,
it has its own ways

Upon a trembling surface,
clearly my eyes
all formality and pomposity
it stripped away
laying bare the simplicity
of all humanity
love, beauty, vulnerability
-- I could not bear

                 - // -...

Seldom does anyone see the genuine reciprocity
Deep beneath the surface of loves viscosity
So many relationships end by this atrocity
This demonic plague is such a monstrosity
Failure is overwhelmingly full of pomposity
Sad when true beauty develops callosity
Ponder that number in total numerosity
My desire to escape this exceeds hypervelocity
No further trauma needed to my anfractuosity...

To Prove Human
To prove human
Just a greeting could suffice,
To exhibit solicitude,
Especially when we meet first time,
And none of us is courteous.

To show humanity,
There need be charity,amity,
And not animosity.
For amongst us,
Supremacy and pomposity,
Seem to create a rift.

To whosoever; formal or not,
From East or West,
richly bestowed or unfortunate,
Generosity reigns extant and supreme.

My Shortest Story Ever
There was a tall strongman called Tony; he lived in
the tallest storey building, in a lulu town known as
Lorry Town. He always spat down at people and
coltishly belittled the skies, because; the sky almost
shook hands with his tall storey building. One day,
his storey building got bleeding tired of his
arrogant pomposity and crushed him down while
asleep, to slave for those whom he took as pigs
and pits.

The end...

Black and White
The barons had the corn;-
       you want to float now,
       out-of-the body.

From a distance you watch-
       the melodrama and the
       pomposity of the marching band.

In fever, the poppies come-
       out, unmasked in the
       glory of the sun.

The black wood screams in-
       pain. Your nakedness was
       in jeopardy at trial.

The phallic hills have no-
       memory of the fallen stones.
       World worships only the ashes.

Peeling An Onion
There is a truth in you my friend
both heady and unique
that makes my sense of smell
take flight,
and drives my curiosity.

I carve away voraciously,
cut deep and cut again
til glossy bulb is
ringed layers
of dazzling luminosity.

Sweet orbed bands,
I plate them out,
in artful presentation
gleaming rings I praise, admire
the aim of my pomposity

I peel, and peel, and peel again
core’s perfect pearl revealed
And I in awe,
Relish, delight
devour you aromally...
