Juicy hamburger, on bun
Covered with onion
In basket of crispy fries.
Slice of tomato,
Slathered with mayo.
Piping hot,
Yummm!

A mug of steaming tea
Piping hot, so warm
The perfect remedy
For a winter storm
Or a cold and rainy day
Like it is today
A cup of brew
And thoughts of you
Take all the chill away...

Cobbler
Cobbler fresh from the oven
A piping hot peach
Crumbled topping crisp to eat
Sprinkled with sugar
Such a tasty treat
Top with cream
Sweet!

At the Mussel Restaurant
At the mussel restaurant
You order up a pot.
Ceremoniously, they’re served,
Piled high and piping hot.

Scoop some shells and use your tiny
Fork to pull the meat.
Sop the sauce with crusty bread,
Each bite a tasty treat.

Sip a draft beer and relax
For everything’s all right.
A mussel feast’s the perfect way
To welcome Friday night....

Tea Time
Tea Time

Earl Grey with burgemont
Cream and sugar please
Steeped in water piping hot
Calms the ill at ease

Sweet aroma fills the nose
Taste buds jump with glee
Hear the kettle as she blows
Tea time now for me.

The Cowboy's Life
As the pastel moon rises across the midnight blue a lone wolf’s dark silhouette appears into view his boast is known from Cowboy to prairie dog fore this is the night chill that turns to morning fog the early dawn is thawed by a piping hot cup o’ Joe No time to waste, just a few days brings first snow Such is the Cowboy’s life on the cattle drive

Got Milk?
(This is a fictional poem)

I drank a man's milk when he went to the john.
Now all of my bones are broke and most of my teeth are gone.
He was over seven feet tall and he was a menace.
He poured a piping hot cup of coffee down my pants and scalded my penis.
If you ever consider drinking that man's milk, please don't do it.
I know first hand that you might not live through it....

Spread it on toast,
slather it on an English muffin.
Use it in your milkshake,
to make a smoothie,
top off a sundae or
crown a banana split.

Drop a dollop on a cracker
and plop it in your mouth.

Put it on a plate,
mixed with tiny chunks
of real creamery butter,
then spoon onto a
piping hot biscuit.

Rich, dark, tantalizing . . .
one of life's sweet joys,
   Huckleberry Jam....

Premium Member Hold the Peas
Baby doesn't like the 'peases'.
She spits them out, as she pleases.
I still have that childish vice
But spitting peas isn't nice.

Avoiding them is hard to do.
They're in the pot pie and the stew.
So, I pick them out one by one
But pea-picking is not fun.

Give me a break. I cannot take
To even smell them on the make.
Cold in salad or piping hot,
Hold the peas. Peas porridge, not!

Crazy Love, Piping Hot
The art of loving can't be taught,
The feel of your touch may wither but not shun away from my thoughts,
Warmth of your body is more cozy than this rug over my cot,
I recall the nights when you said, this is the best I got,
Of course my love I know that the passion we have is insane-crazy-hot..
All I say is I've always loved you a lot,
I hope I could convince you, as this seems to be my best shot !

Better
Bitter black coffee and piping hot tea
Sit a-steaming and a-boiling just for me.
The java spits and sputters, and mutters in its wrath;
The yellow shrieks and bellows out of its kettle's mouth.
Spitter sputter, sput spit, whoo whoo whee!
Better bitter black coffee and piping hot tea
When the winter nights are raving
And the snowflakes are a-sailing,
Than ice-cream and candybars
Under a summer night's bright stars....

Leaving
The tide is coming.

Rheumy eyes lost on the horizon. Misting, over half memories.

Vera Lynn keeping us firmly in the past. Time in the present ever shorter.

Flask piping hot, burnt lips. Lunch heartily eaten.

Talk of family long-gone and family non-existent. Half finished sentences.

Singing until hoarse, oblivious of time and place.

Home before dusk or enter a world of anxiety and confusion.

The tide is gone.

I shall miss Sundays....

Apple Pie
My jeans are tight I don't know why
It must of been that apple pie
I couldn't resist it piping hot
With lots of custard draped on top.

That soft lush pastry just makes me go yum
As my mouth competes with my tum
I feel so bloated and fit to drop
When I tuck in, I must remember to stop.

I know I ate a little too much
But an apple pie wasn't meant just to touch
So get stuck in and start to eat
You know you deserve a little treat....

Messenger of Light
From his mouth bright ribbons flashed
The thunder rolled, the lightning crashed
A shot rang out and split the night
A singing sound, cacophany,A THOUSAND bELLS, A SYMPHONY
Fresh and sharp and clean and clear
It fell on every living ear
And some were moved and some were not
The truth was COLD or PIPING HOT
No lukewarm message rent the air
To some great joy , to some despair
And time stands still on that wondrous day
when the messenger gives the TRUTH away...
