Mermaid Sand Castle

delicate mermaids sculpted from pebbled beach
work of art which will be gone in days
bringing the beauty of the sky into onlooker's eyes
mystical magic, shows artistry and skill

Crashing Tides

cascading tides crash
       along ocean’s pebbled shore-
                     salt water abyss

Quandary

A fork in the road One paved, one pebbled Which way should I go? A cane in one hand And holes in both shoes The one that is right Less traveled The one which is left Only by fools

Our Servant King

They could work no more,landing
on the pebbled shore,
a meal of grilled fish, ready there,
broken bread to share-
eaten at his feet
breakfast....so
Sweet !

Fun With 'P'

Along a pebbled path,
A panther pressed his paws,
Paying pure attention to,
The placement of his paws.
Pretending to be placid,
(pausing as to play),
The panther purred with pleasure,
As he pounced upon his prey.

Ronin 1

Stone pebbles crush beneath my sandals
Bare skin welcoming warm breezes
in the aftermath of a cold shameful bath
Washing crimson away and
my soul bit by bit Honor is the excuse
given for bloodshed
River rock and coy drink in my horrors
bear now the burden that drives these feet
upon this pebbled road

A Dinner Date

walked along the pebbled shore
In my mind I saw a door

In my soul I heard a voice
In my heart I made a choice

I sat upon the burning sand
I took the offered,outstretched hand

We lit a fire and bar-b-qued
Enjoying fellowship and food

I returned along the pebbled shore
Complete,made whole,forever more

Which Are You?

Oft, I wander
O'er pebbled ground
Wondering
If all life I've found
Pebbles in color
of varied size
That surely
make me realize
Mystery will remain
Man may differ
Yet be the same

Some are smooth
To welcome hand
Others, coarse
As a stroll in sand
Far and curious
Eye can see
Pebbles
Of humanity
Much as I strive
To find a clue
I must ask

Which are you?

Time To Say Goodbye

My dear, it's time to say goodbye
forget the memories and the sighs
This love has turned to pebbled sand
if this heart can't hold you, no one can
Love was free, there was no cost
No icy stares, no winter's frost
This friend you have, this emptiness
Will leave you cold, with loneliness
So goodbye to you and your guest

Ronin 100

I am nearing the endless night and my body
reminds me of it’s torture in a daily vigil
toward reprimand
My adoration of you my love has passed
from heated loins on pillows
to passionate words on parchment
My son the weapons of war
are now wielded in words
I am old yes a gift that I did not deserve
but a treasure I shall take with me
to the next horizon
upon this pebbled road

He's Dead and Gone

He's dead and gone
In vain I look for comfort
Despondent, walking along the beach
The waves sweeping onto the pebbled shore
The drifting shale
The sands of time
The mortal affliction of life and death
Cruel fate has struck its final blow,
He's dead and gone
In vain I look for comfort.

Ode To the Bay of Eloise

She is whipping winds.

Salt,
washing over my hair, eyes, skin.
Numbingly cold waters,
as if just unfrozen,
spilling into, refreshing
the Bay.

She hosts,

An eroded map
Of webbed and pebbled paths.
Barnacle scattered
grit.
Rolling fields of green low tides.
A fisherman’s daydream.
A meeting
Of core and sun.

She is
an awakening,
a renewal,

a provocation of adventure.

Sempiternal Keeper of the Watch

Amid the grace of quiet stones, a stroll down pebbled path. There within a forgotten time, behind an iron latch. Stands now in aged seclusion, of monuments to grief. A countenance in marble cast, beautiful Angel in soft relief. Heavenly comfort emanates, a coronal healing swath. Winged guardian to souls now passed, sempiternal keepers of the watch.

Elation - 7 Letter Acrostic

E ach pebbled path awaits the fall mum without momentum
L anguishing until the fall of foot brings them a pace.
A ll static objects seek the joy, the soulful strum
T hat gives to some and uncommon sense of face
I dling not within the static shell, the unnoticed place.
O nly movement brings the eye, the heart to hold, the rise
N o stone unrolled can bring an accolade to such as I.

Beyond the Nettles,

there is a pond where the water lillies grow
and children weep for their youth,
the silent forces that make the moth
to pebbled thought entombed
in the shifting light of its bed,
and Nowhere is a feeling.

Remember the morning of the bird,
the obscured pane,
where nature died at once, and slowly
even kisses were sharp and revealed
some secret like a moth-wing in a book.

It is here you recall the thing everyone knows,
or pretends to know.

Great Sullen Wind

A breeze that once lay cool in morn,
is face of death as dark was born.
On pebbled beach and under guise,
from sea to shore destroyed broad wise.

Great sullen wind awoke this night
and made old oak tree tremble fright.
Though might in years, he stood and shook
for death wind sought and life it took.

In churches huddled in the mass
we prayed the Lord would let it pass
and so He did and had it done
so weathered storms would see the sun.

Pebbled Shadows

at the edge

                   of the grassy lawn

                               frothy wavelets eagerly lap

                                        at the moist sand

                     where glistening pebbles

        cast boulders' black shadows

in the late afternoon amber sun,

                                pleasing sound, sighing sight

for the soul's deepest delight !

Train Tracks

It seems as if
in another life,
I walked these pebbled
tracks, away from the dusk,
away from false confines,
traveling down the spectrum
of a dim rainbow that waits--
longingly
within the distance.
I balanced myself upon the
rails - leaning right, jerking left--
keeping a friendship with the wind.
I flew. Flew above
the fears of others, above...
but not away, and then I settled
to earth - falling off the
narrowness of the rail--
the slimness of life.

Life Is Like a Maypole

I'll weave my thoughts into dreams of glory.
Just maybe I'll inspire with my story.

This journey long on a pebbled road.
Still the view makes light this uphill load.

Now I see skies of azure blue.
Plenty of beauty to see me through.

Come with me and promenade.
Step out from the gloomy shade.

We shall skip to a brand new beat.
No desolation or defeat.

Fingers of joy cascade from above.
A marvelous dance of genuine love!

My Loved One,Skin

.

When i sit and watch you sleep, you look so tired and worn
you are rushing about,to sort things out, over things that`s torn

I wish i could take the weight off you and wave a magic wand
to make things run as smoothly as a pebbled tossed in a pond

The ripples expanding so smoothly, that is what i want ,Skin
so that you can rest at ease and have peace within x

Acorns

Snap crack the hard
Pebbled acorns ricochet
As if thrown by invisible
Hands of nature’s forces
Some fall straight
Others propel with
Unjust uncertainty and
Deliverance passerby
Pegged and peppered
Squirrels intent on
Getting their winter
Food source fulfilled
Scurry around burying
The acorns in
Potted plants, piles of
Leaves or any such
Hiding spot
I often wander how
They remember where
Each and every
Hidey hole is?
Such is wildlife
Trials and tribulations
