Panther paces the ground
he is then most alluring jet of black
Very beautiful he ravages his
Prey he lurks
When he looks that way
Panther is notoriously elegant
When he paces like that
Obsidian velvet
Parts the leaves;
Silent paws impress
The land and in
Moonlit shadows;
A great specter hides.
In one swift flash
Of light and shadow-play,
Panther takes his prey.

Woman: Jezabel, Julia, Lucia...
Woman: clear spring, soft grass
Woman: flora of time, my panther...
Woman: universal fruit, I love you...!
