One Day

One prayer at a time... one day at a time... and some days one step at a time.. Is what it takes to get to where you want to go.

Blossom

Live for the moment
One day at a time
Borrow not sorrow
From the next morrow
Bud and blossom
Like a beautiful flower
Each day a way
Of living it

Premium Member Short Cuts

there are no short cuts in life
so take one day at a time

stop to gaze at
the beauty around you

from the droplets
on a vine
to the laughter of
the person next to you

Premium Member Life Is A Dance

One day at a time --
one foot in advance of the other,
an occasional side-step,
and a back-step when obliged --

life is a dance of sorts.

Happy New Year my poetic friends!

Premium Member Ignite

We should live life
 one day at a time
  all have a expiry date
at the end of the line.

Do not be fearful
 moments expire
  create a positive attitude
   ignite the burning fire.

Auto-Pay

Buying tomorrow
one day at a time
Each moment invested
in freedom sublime
The future remortgaged
all lien holders paid
The past earning interest
—on fortune today

Premium Member As We Wait

Rain
        Comes from
      The gray skies
   Melting more snow
    One day at a time
      Winter retreats
         As we wait
            To see
            Spring

Premium Member Do We

If a whole life is to be lived, one day at a time.
Through age comes wisdom, do we eventually refine

Or do we bitter with age, allowing our black to show
Then we haven't really lived, to allow our halo's to glow

Premium Member One Day At a Time

lonely
longing
hard pressed
seemingly forgotten,
missing
     from
the calendar
          of society:
hope
      dwarfed
      by dark despair
riding
       the automatic
       staircase
of routine
to
...tomorrow and beyond

Comes a time in each life when passed time rouses our thoughts. Then,, we give scant thought to the future. Age has left us with no aspirations. And we’ve accepted the fact that our future, is the present day.

Premium Member Waiting Game

His heart is golden
full of passion for someone
like himself
He waits patiently year after year
dating here and there
with no luck
Thinking all this time that
he'll never find his love
Living one day at a time
Still waiting patiently

Premium Member The Box

Think outside the box
Shed your shackles, chains and locks
Break through all the rocks

Stones will drag you down
To the depths until you drown
An albatrossed clown

Free your soul and mind
Be in one day at a time
And you will unwind

One Day At a Time

old Eyes
 regard the setting sun
with
a
pale
aura of hope
 as
Tomorrow
wells up
 and finds its'way
down her
dark cheeks.
perhaps ,she thinks,
 the morning brings
a chance for me after all.
she whispers to God.
      The sea says so.

One Day At a Time

One day at a time-
That is enough.

Do not look back and
Grieve over the past
For it has gone...
And do not be troubled
About the future
For it has yet to come.

Live in the present...
And make it so beautiful
That it will be worth
Remembering

One Day At a Time

When the money is gone
Time is spent
There is nothing left to give
What will you do?
Where will you go?
When no reason is left to live
This question asked
So many times
The answer
Never good
Living life
One day at time
The best theory understood
