One Day At a Time

old Eyes
 regard the setting sun
with
a
pale
aura of hope
 as
Tomorrow
wells up
 and finds its'way
down her
dark cheeks.
perhaps ,she thinks,
 the morning brings
a chance for me after all.
she whispers to God.
      The sea says so.
