Premium Member Poem with no Title

I don't know what I should call it,
and I'm not sure what it's about.
So, a title, I will omit,
and this poem can go without.
Form: Epigram

Premium Member A 24-Hour a Day Commit

There's a lot of people that just don't get it Feel they're owed a living, other factors they omit They fail to see What life really means It's a twenty-four-hour full-time commit

Mean

Tones of depreciation eject forth estuaries of spittle
Causing unsought billows of panic
Why can’t society be more appreciative
Instead of dejecting them
And divesting them of criticism
Communication is significant
Yet people omit it’s qualities
Form: Verse

Truth As Biggest Speech Defect

We stutter, lisp and clutter
We are not vocal – mute…

We can be choppy, mumble words
Impaired rhythm, be automatic…

Distort our sounds, substitute, omit
Or string together made-up words…

And all impediments forgiven
But God forbid – to tell the Truth!
Form: Concrete

Unnecessary Truth

Without your permission,
I will come into your life and omit traces of my most modest essence.
Then without warning,
I will withdraw myself from your domain,
leaving you to obsess over my unorthodox disposition that has been unraveling since
      first introduction

Premium Member Zilch, That Is What I Got

The Christmas tree was brightly lit
But the star on top someone forgot
But that's not all they did omit
St Nick must have been in on the plot
Because, zilch, that is what I got

(Before Spellcheck)

After arguing fouls or fowls
Some Hebrew scribes throw in their towels
The Hebrew God growls,
"Forget the damn vowels!*
You'll know if you're right in your bowels!"

*Hebrew scribes omit vowels
so scholars can argue whether
HLV=HALAV or HELEV, etc.

Last check before the parrot was taken outside

I forgot to add tomatoes to
the beef.
And I was told to put a 1/2
Of white grape juice in the
Broth with an additional
3 T of crown royal
and to omit the horseradish.
We added one teaspoon of
Anchovies oil to the mayo
and crumbled in some sun
dried tomatoes.
That should be the show!
Sweet banana peppers to
do the thang!

Sonnet No 2

Because of your age
You leave me in a rage
Why temper me ?
When we walk on a lea

You wont bow to the Queen
Is it because your a teen
You wont walk the promenade
Is it because our love is frayed ?

Where is your joy
we are not built on clay
Seize the day
Once more omit the grey

Finally you have reprieved
I shall not be grieved

Spring Was Delayed

Spring Was Delayed
by Michael R. Burch

Winter came early:
the driving snows,
the delicate frosts
that crystallize

all we forget
or refuse to know,
all we regret
that makes us wise.

Spring was delayed:
the nubile rose,
the tentative sun,
the wind’s soft sighs,

all we omit
or refuse to show,
whatever we shield
behind guarded eyes.

Timeless Love of Twin Flames

Time,
Not matter how long
Or how many centuries
would not change you,
Your voice, eyes and touch
Will ring the bells of dead and buried tales,
Your aura, an enigma, would omit and shine
The love I knew was always mine.
Nostalgia swims around my head
Until the moon pales and I
Return to bed.
I cast a spell within my dreams
A manifestation of you
Weaving together our endless seams

S O S

"s.o.s."
by: Eric L. Boddie

Sin only shuns
Satan owns society
Stress owns success
Success offers selfishness
Selfishness outshines sight
Sight outweighs spite
Something overwhelms solidarity
Serenity only succeeds
Streaks only sustain
Simplify our situations
Sheep only sleep
Stand only strong
Sacrifice outweighs sovereignty
Supplies omit savoring
Semantics over syntax
Salvation obtains survival

Runaway

I'll runaway.
I'm going to run from you.
I'll face that day,
With a whole new view.

You were never there!
Be quiet for a second.
Don't act like you care!
You never even checked-in.

Don't try to fix it,
Your apology doesn't matter.
I'll just omit,
But not to flatter.

You don't get a second chance.
In your direction,
I won't even glace.
I'm done with this connection.

Wait...

Inconsistent

I’m blown away by my ability to feel
It rattles my core. It’s raw and real
But then there are days, without even trying
I’m numb on the inside. My empathy, dying
Often times, I’m clever, unparalleled wit
Then others, I’m blank, I simply forget
Unwillingly, it seems, I omit basic skills
Left sweating and fretting and spinning my wheels
I’m up or down. Either proud or ashamed
One day to the next, I’m never the same

Growing Up

Words on a wall
As one by one they fall
Soon to hit the ground
And a new lesson found

As we write again
Becoming women and men
Again they come crashing down
And our smile turns to a frown

But we don’t quit
We don’t let them omit
We put new words on the wall
Hurriedly trying to learn them all

So next time we will be ready
Able to keep emotion steady
As there goes one more
Crashing down on the littered floor

Premium Member Seasonal Refraction

My being is a mirror of the cold. Flows through me, like wind and mold. Flakes that can fly, bite, and hold. The beauty of clear winter evenings unfolded. Snowfall is enhanced by the trees exposed.  When lakes freeze, the kids shift to rink mode. We omit each item from the scold. However, we do not know what winter will hold. This is the real springtime prize foretold

Premium Member I Need To Sit

Men on the whole are wonderful BUT When they omit to put the loo seat down Again and again I find that it’s up Then I end up with a massive frown! My need is to sit when I use the loo - Comply with my wishes that’s all I ask Deny it was you – it drives me so mad Why can’t men complete an easy task! Premium Member Nightly Music

Softly night music
Soothing the mind and body
Smoothing the heart beat

Calls back the old time
Along the motley life lane
Flowers and thornbushes

Few petals flower
Of the seasons and spaces
Heartened to move on

Stoop to cherish
Some on tiptoe to adore
Diversified scents

Soft music recalls
Flower’s color, shape and scent
Omit all thornbushes

In this onetime life
Just sole soft sound energizes
Along humble lane

Miracle

Absorb the warmth
The boobs are there to be admired
As they show the nakedness of a woman
As you explore the uniqueness of yourself
Do not be ashamed on how you are created
Bubbly as you are
Oops,did I say that,did I?
Cultivate the love within
The ingredient is there to be fertilized
As you explore your inner strengths
Do not omit some of the factors
Instead bend with
Bubbly as you become
You are a woman created to perform a man's work.

The Message

The goal does not change
Because of the circumstances
The mission does not alter
Because of the sequence
And I could not have said it better myself

Could not have believe it
If someone had told me
Seeing it lead me to believe
It was true
And the words could not come out

The journey does not omit certain places
Because of the navigator
The music does not stop playing
Because of the shuffle of the songs
And those are the norms of the days to come

Morning Dew An Acrostic-

Marginal misses shoot moist.
Operatic airs announced mist.
Red sprinkles scatter clear blue.
Native airs convey moist.
Involuntary omissions omit mist less.
Near misses relish true mist.
Greater increases enhance light wetness.

Damp bangs pull damp.
Enormous clouds darken chance.
White sprinkles moisten true.

Premium Member Beautiful Winter Day

Blue and white language fills the sky
Bringing messages, as to why
We are here to observe it all
God’s creation brings us a call
To look, listen, believe reason
For your existence, each season
The mountains do stand still
Waiting to see your inner will
Will you pay attention to it?
Will you follow or just omit?
The water with destination,
Leads to the ocean’s destination
Free will, always gives you a choice
To ignore it or to rejoice!
