the good old days
blacks lining up for restrooms
always in back
buses, trains, movie houses--all
but please spend your money here
Happy ages long gone,.
Left me weak to the bone..
New hypes barely borne..
To boredom we were sworn..
How i cherish old days long gone.
tree's change their attire
shed all, oh! what a beauty~

museums, to youth, sarcophagus
but aging folks can’t get enough
of perusing the junk
and making up bunk
about those good old days so tough
The slightest
Of touch
On your lips
In the breeze
Don’t think back
To the good old days
For know one thing
Its me behind
Ahead and blind
ghosts from the old days
don't wholly shape our future.
till we grant consent.

GOOD OLD DAYES
Covid-
nineteen came,
earth breaths with ease,
Man dreams of old days to
return!

depictions of
the supposedly
good old days
when all was
well within the
land of falsehood
of a land that never
truly ever existed
FORTIES PLAYTIME
Hopscotch
with whip and top
or marbles and five stones-
pastimes lost now in memory's
chasm.

One thing is for sure when tales are told
The "good old days" are sure to unfold
Now understand
What made them grand
Was that we weren't good and we weren't old!
Technical difficulties happen rarely
Not like the old days that made us hairy
Black and white
Focus out of sight
Tolerated it but still made us edgy
In the good old days,
Backyard loos were the way,
The old blip carter appears,
From a dim and distant year,
Had the blip can on his back,
Strode off down nostalgia's track!
Dragons in the old days, when burning up a knight,
Had to blow hot air, lighting matches to ignite.
To make a fire from a damsel's liberator,
Today's dragon uses an incinerator.
Darling…my dear…
I’ve held this in for so many years…think back to the good old days
when we were young… forgive me for that day…
for burying you in the sand on that cold September day…
Once loved but now to natures gentle care given
Forgotten gone old days of care a passion driven
Now just there moss and an empty pot
Walking past you realise it too will be your lot
"there is no point dwelling on the past" they say,
forget the old days and carry on living,
but with lessons ignored the past can replay,
and your future will be the past you lived in.
projecting false
imagery upon
the screen of
time creating
an unrealistic
impression of
the supposed
good old days
was the misconstrued
dream land in which
the old self lived
Oh for the good old days, life was simpler then
Up with the birdies, then to the office we went
Traffic was a breeze
No, you first please!
Now it's amazing, we survive without dents
These will be the good old days 20 years from now
Mankind marches on and we all survive somehow
Avoid extinction
By manipulation
Don't know how long we can continue to milk the cows
Oh for the good old days, life was simpler then
Up with the birdies, then to the office we went
Traffic was a breeze
No, you first please!
Now it's amazing, to survive without dents
Oh for the good old days, life was simpler then
Up with the birdies, then to the office we went
Traffic was a breeze
No, you first, please!
Now it's amazing, to survive without dents
Though I'm in a funk, no need help to get out
To once more wake up and dance and shout
Just like the old days
Big smiles on display
I'm the same jovial dude, of this there's no doubt
In the good old days, good people sorted
all the folks into “us" and the sordid.
The American state
was apparently “great.”
But what "great" means is poorly reported.
My wife and I lived happily for twenty years
Then we met!!! Ever since I've been in arrears
Oh for the good old days
Enjoyed my “being right” phase
Ever since I've become dead between the ears
