Wind's Nudge
Gust of playful wind
nudged me with flurry of leaves.
Childhood memories
             recollected in my mind
leaving me in state of bliss.

Lassie
Timmy a bossy pain in the neck,
Lassie nudged him thinking what the heck,
Timmy fell in well,
Lassie feeling swell,
that is until it was time to get fed.

Mary nudged Joseph, busy picking his nose
Baby Jesus sat up from repose
Angel Gabriel’s halo went wonky
And the sheep were kicking the donkey.

Love Illuminates
Two, alone. With all of night's
Glitter-veil now lifted
On each of their probing, deep;
Life's. Illuminated!

Nudged up closer who, for love
Eavesdropping, when heard I:
"Behind the same, the same God
Reflected in our eye!"...

Premium Member Footfalls of Fate Sidestepped Shunned
Listen to poem:
Heard enough
to know where this can lead.
Footfalls poised to step
   in footprints etched by fate,
   are caught in flight,
   nudged to sidestep shunned.
A foot-plant re-direction
   on a clean slate.
Making fresh footprints,
   striven silently in the sand....

A Quiet Walk On the Ocean Floor
today I walked across the ocean floor
the flora and the fauna were flat;

multi-limbed fish and flat eyeless worms,
nudged me, like a dreaming lover in the night

heaven’s light?...no..it was just too far down!
bathyscape deep: Witgenstein deep…really,
really, excrucitingly deep....

Upon hearing what you heard
And relayed with such devotion,
The soul arises as a bird from a puddle,
Shaking off its present absorptions,
Abandoning its own reflection,
Drawn toward an infinite horizon,
It's nudged along by wind-borne petals,
Entranced by a piercing blue
In a sheer, receptive sky....

Stars Like Wheels
--- grave and turning --- ,

Creation nudged forward,

the sun indeed rises.

High empty windows

brighten blinking;

myopic windows

open wider:

thin ice laid bare.

On looming walls

dawn's Light gathers breaking

--- afternoon, night

turning in tow unseen,

February full circle....

Premium Member Absence
This only moment

Moving, forward nudged

By gentle breeze,

Leaving leaves

So green to spin about;

Give our eyes to trees,

Swinging shallow.

Each a gate

Opening to the sky.

We dance into a fate

No earthly coin could buy.

Like all of this and more,

The earth, the sky, the rain;

We only know an absence

By the shadow of its pain....

Viking Funeral
I packed all your bags
along with my feelings for you.
I brought it all onto a wooden ship
your name carved into the hull.
your name.
your boat.
I placed every item against the deck
and on my way back to shore
I nudged you into the waves
and gently set you ablaze.
As you burn against the horizon
I watch
and sigh.
It’s all finally gone.
At last.
I can be free....

Premium Member She Springs
Silently she arrived
on rain bowed streams, in shamrock eyes.
She filled the ponds and fluffed the blossom
stuffed milkweed pods with puffs of cotton.
She nudged chorus frogs from emerald dreams
gifting rubied songs to the forever-greens.
She rouged away the last snow flake
brushing pastel hues into robin eggs.
Then she humbly drifted far away
into the gilded heart of Etain....

Kaleidoscopic Chaos Clogged
sassy spell snapped
trailing taunted trance
callous clouds cruised
bounty blitzkrieg bruised
nocturnal nymph nudged
pluming lanky lust

amputated atmosphere bled
alakazam cremating crest
fostering phlegm fetched

felon flesh flipped
dark dribbles clipped
tampered trees gripped

leering logs lobbed
kaleidoscopic chaos clogged.

I know I'm 41 now,
But the kid just trying to be silly,
Make people laugh,
Make them lose themselves,
Find themselves,
That kid is still manning the controls.
He gets nudged, knocked, wrangled at times
But we all know, all those outboarded
Shadowy figments know, he's the only one
Who can make a spark in the reaching darkness.
In fact he renames the darkness and calls it a blessing....

Double Black Diamond
A steep slope.
Double black diamond
Thin air
Cold and getting colder
First time for everything
I am a little scared.
Never done this before.
Am I ready?
Don’t know what to expect.
No one does.
Short of breath.
Tunnel vision setting in.
Long pause before the fast descent.
With out consent, I’m nudged off the edge.
Taking the plunge.
Good bye.
See you on the other-side....

Hello
Did you say hello to me last night?
I could have sworn at a glance I saw your silhouette by my side
I felt the comfort of your touch
You nudged my hand with yours
Did you greet me last night?
Did you happen to slip on by?
If so I would have opened up a door
No need for haunts they use the wall or the floor
If so I could you have given me a chance?
To say what I had to say?
This was goodbye...

Premium Member Yo Mama (Where Clouds Live)
Within the moving mirror of life
I'll often lose my face
And pebbles I've collected in my hands
Dust into the air like meaningless seekers
Like the lot of us
Who have trouble settling into the everydayness

Where clouds reflect over water
Where my face becomes a grander sum of the self
Where nothing ever dies

And what's lost is nudged by nature
to be found in the puddles where clouds live....

Waking
To moon
giving a parting kiss of
sinless shame
I nudged him from the tree.

The night had been a terror.
I was facing myself
in unrelationship of a prayer
not to weep for my muse,

crushing a poppy on my
chest to get the imprint of your
face, like the furrowed flame
leaping from a deep hurt.

Cannot play a game of mockery
deciphering the complete
truth of a veil
for a painless stain.

Love Letter To Laurie
When you closed your hand about my hand,
A shivering bud that hid within my heart
Began to open,

‘MEN do not have FLOWERS in their hearts!’
  I cried, in my mind,
‘CERTAINLY
MEN have LIONS!’

But the bud so softly nudged against my breast,
That I could not but pluck its opening grace
And offer it
To You,
Pure As A Smile…

COPLA 73 INVOCATION: This Bad Guy World

Flit through Khayyam’s magic lantern
Or be nudged on chequer boards by
The Unseen Hand

One thing’s certain dark hands beckon
From behind barred doors – ask not why:
Sealed by No Man

Only an extra-terrestrial
Experiment requires this:
Not Evolution

Would the Maker put on trial
To ensnare us and then dismiss
Life’s equation

Premium Member Questions
With despair I called into the dark
Is anyone there to hear my plea
No indication of the way to go...
Adrift on a black and sullen sea.

From the void a voice cried out
Use your head but follow your heart
The tide will take you home again
Given time the clouds will part

From a time before remembering
My ship safely nudged the shore
The questions that have no answers
Till the end, man will still explore
