Viking Funeral

I packed all your bags along with my feelings for you. I brought it all onto a wooden ship your name carved into the hull. your name. your boat. I placed every item against the deck and on my way back to shore I nudged you into the waves and gently set you ablaze. As you burn against the horizon I watch and sigh. It’s all finally gone. At last. I can be free.
