Life Departs
Lovers die
As will kids
And all the king's horse's
And all the king's men
Cannot put them together again
Everyone's born with an amount of time
That will expire
Not a minute more or second late
This is the moment
Death starts
And life departs...

Light of My Life
Into my life, you brought light. These feelings for you I can't fight. I would say your timing was just right. You were not a minute too soon, or too late. Everything about you is so great. I consider you so heavenly. You're the best thing to happen to me, inspired by another member's poem

Premium Member When You Get Grandchildren
I love my grandchildren so much it is nuts
I loved my children this much too, but it is a different love
This is a “I can be as crazy and friendly as I want” kind of love
It is a much more freeing kind of love
It cannot be explained; it must be lived
When you get grandchildren, you will understand
but not a minute before...

Premium Member The Hour Before Dawn
Unable to sleep, lying there
Looking at the faintest light
Brimming behind the curtain,
A whispered shadow on the wall.
Peaceful, aware of the new day beginning.
Looking backward at yesterdays,
Looking forward to tomorrows,
Summoning the will to meet
The new day’s challenges.
Life rushing by, but not this minute
For a moment, content to just….BE....

Premium Member In the Mirror I Shine
In the mirror I shine,
I love my reflection;
My skin fits me just fine,
even with all my scars;
This goofball smile is mine;

In the mirror I shine
brighter than make up lights;
True natural beauty
the secret to my fire;
Strength builds tenacity;

In the mirror I shine;
Bleak overwhelming thoughts?
Not another minute!
I am now relentless
because I never quit....

Forget-You-Not
I haven't the scope anymore to fight for what I lost,
the noose around my neck is tight but its worth the cost.

My actions are a little forced,
though I could hold out longer,
success is par for the course now my will is stronger,

Not a minute longer on your side..or by it
I''ll snap back into shape again, take more than I'll give,
sometime I'll forget-you-not, move on...
but never ever

forgive....

Sweet, Sweet Sound
There was a sound coming from somewhere,
it touched my heart,
it stirred my soul,
it made me think,
it made me feel,
I turned and it was a soft melody
with notes on wings carried to me.
I knew right away - not a minute later
I must seek it out,
I must find it,
I must hear it play on.
I finally realized you are that soft melody,
you make me think,
you make me feel...
You are that sound playing in my life....

What Mom Likes About Christmas: the Day After
Twas the day after Christmas,
The house was a sight,
Full of boxes and wrappings
From treasures last night.

Children, long before daylight
Making loud, noxious noise,
Happily playing
With bright shiny toys.

Mom said, “Thank God it’s over
And not a minute too soon,”
As she dragged out of bed
At the crack of noon.

“I dearly love Christmas,
And all it’s about.
But when it’s all over,
That’s when I shout!”...

Death
Death comes without warning,
Death comes when you are unaware,
Death comes not a minute early nor late,
Death comes taking away the ones you care.

When Angel of Death knocks on your door,
And know that you won't be with us anymore,
Know that it is time for you to go,
And we pray that God blesses your soul.

Wealth are now departed from you,
Only your faith you would carry,
To reward all that has long been dued,
whether paradise or hell you would be....

On the Run
On the run,
not one minute pause for sigh.
i am far behind schedule.
Pause time,tell season to hold.
I am on the run to meet up.
Please tell day to dally.
Tell night to hold still.
Let the sun shine on.
Please let the moon hide still.
I am on my way.
I am on the run.
I will meet up,
though i am far behind schedule,
but i promise i will be there.
Not how fast,
not how long,
but how well,
i promise i will be there.
I am on the run.
I am on the run....

Delivery
I was wrapped around,
by shyness and silence,
when we first met,
when we got to talk,

Next day you got me opened up,
revealing what's inside me,
but seems it wasn't what you are waiting,
its not what you are expecting,

Then you started to set me aside,
you no longer lend me your time nor attention,
not a minute or even a second,
Cause i wasn't the package you are expecting,

I was really the whole package,
who happened to arrive,
in the wrong hands,
in the wrong time,...
