The Hour Before Dawn

Unable to sleep, lying there Looking at the faintest light Brimming behind the curtain, A whispered shadow on the wall. Peaceful, aware of the new day beginning. Looking backward at yesterdays, Looking forward to tomorrows, Summoning the will to meet The new day’s challenges. Life rushing by, but not this minute For a moment, content to just….BE.

It is great to take a simple moment and truly relish it. Even more so to write about it. Reminds us to stop and smell the roses, so to speak. Lovely. Love, Shar

Ain't it the best time of the day? ...when you can just ponder and muse. A lovely expression Barbara! Best wishes, Keith (suggestion: '...looking forward TO tomorrows.')

In our busy lives, we seldom have a moment to relish....just like the one you describe here in this poem. To just BE is such a rare and treasured moment....enjoy it! ~ Carrie
