a certain colleague, and my boss -
I wish I didn't have to go
to work (I wouldn't mourn its loss).

Without a job I'd be quite skint;
it puts the money in the bank -
I think of that and carry on

Although it's very tragic, we've always known what for!

They put their lives in danger, to keep our country free.  
A necessary evil, we understand, just had to be.

Afghanistan's another story, the lives we've lost is so unfair.
 'cause it's hard for us to justify, exactly why the hell we're there!

Money's the root of all evil but gets things done,
But a necessary evil under the sun.
By hook or crook it usually gets its way.

Blind by choice,
Deaf by accident.
Intelligent on special occasions,
Usually mundane and somewhat obtuse.
Their characteristics shine in dark.

They alone stand,
Gathering is necessary evil.
Goodness is their way.
Intoxicated in passion
Few live arid.

They sing when communicating
and whisper only in dreams.
You meet them everywhere,
Yet unnoticed they live....

Why do we have to eat anyway?
It’s only a habit we picked up
Long ago when we were babies
Blame it on Mommy
She started it, after all
And now we can’t stop
We can’t get away from it
Breakfast . . . lunch . . . dinner
Mid-morning snack
Afternoon tea
Midnight munchies
It never ends
Eating is a necessary evil
It makes us fat
It makes us sick
It drains our bank accounts
Nothing good comes of it
A momentary pleasure, that’s all.
My advice?
Take a vitamin!...
