Regressive Humanity
We all want to live a descent life
Wealth is a necessary evil
Wealth has got company
Vices follow the trail...and savage qualities
Humanity takes the regressive way

A Necessary Evil
Politicians, a necessary evil:
you can't live with them…
and they won't let you live without them.
I finally realized why some of our
best actors are so dis-likable off screen --
I think it is self realization,
and a desperate need to escape...

A Necessary Evil
clangor
repeating noise
echoing in my head
raucous alarm awakens me
bringing back turbulent reality
stirring anger and resentment
strident, clamorous noise,
starting day of
clangor

Guns
You do not own a gun...
that gun owns you;
always aware of its
whereabouts, and what that
gun can do. To be effective, its
use must be reflexive, no sympathy
for the receiving end.... It is a
necessary evil, weighing heavily
on the hearts, of law upholders
yet god
fearing men....

A Necessary Evil
I often moan about my job,
a certain colleague, and my boss -
I wish I didn't have to go
to work (I wouldn't mourn its loss).
Without a job I'd be quite skint;
it puts the money in the bank -
I think of that and carry on
(unsure of what or whom to thank).

Why Afghanistan
Many lives were sacrificed throughout the years in war.
Although it's very tragic, we've always known what for!
They put their lives in danger, to keep our country free.
A necessary evil, we understand, just had to be.
Afghanistan's another story, the lives we've lost is so unfair.
'cause it's hard for us to justify, exactly why the hell we're there!

Money
Money
Written: by Miracle Man
2-19-2020
Pompous people with money generally feel,
An entitlement attitude is no big deal.
Not having been required to work for a living,
They're so full of themselves that they're unforgiving.
Money's the root of all evil but gets things done,
But a necessary evil under the sun.
By hook or crook it usually gets its way.
As long as man exists the Dollar's here to stay.

Necessary Evil
take this blade
and cut your wrists
make escape holes for the devil
let him leave you
through the bleeding
make the world then somewhat level
it's a sacrifice
most unholy
but for the good of all mankind
so take thy soul
unto the slaughter
and you'll find i'm right in time
sure i'm just
your shoulder demon
and yes i've fallen from what's divine
but no lives
will get saved this evening
'less you're willing to cross the line...

They Unnoticed Live
They nod, rarely shout
Silence is preferred,
Noise produced only when necessary.
Blind by choice,
Deaf by accident.
Intelligent on special occasions,
Usually mundane and somewhat obtuse.
Their characteristics shine in dark.
They alone stand,
Gathering is necessary evil.
Goodness is their way.
Intoxicated in passion
Few live arid.
They sing when communicating
and whisper only in dreams.
You meet them everywhere,
Yet unnoticed they live....

The High Cost of Eating
Why do we have to eat anyway?
It’s only a habit we picked up
Long ago when we were babies
Blame it on Mommy
She started it, after all
And now we can’t stop
We can’t get away from it
Breakfast . . . lunch . . . dinner
Mid-morning snack
Afternoon tea
Midnight munchies
It never ends
Eating is a necessary evil
It makes us fat
It makes us sick
It drains our bank accounts
Nothing good comes of it
A momentary pleasure, that’s all.
My advice?
Take a vitamin!...
