Nature’s Tricks

Butterless flies flutter by
and dragons without fire fly.
	Over and under,
	curious wonder.
Nature’s tricks do mystify.

Mist

Mystify my chronicle in your cloud of passion
Intertwine our humble universe in one ration
Slowly pass the time to make the ascension
Thus our love is the greatest invention.

Amedeo Modigliani

stretch artist, A. Modigliani amplifies
sketching curvilinear bodies, weak eyes
his far-fetching figures still mystify us
despite his premature death to meningitis.

Mistletoe

Merrily, merrily, mystify him gently, manage him to the door. Make sure he sees the sprig, manifest, boldly ask, majestic tradition, mirthfully with a kiss.

Dragonfly

Fossil dragonflies with wingspans about two feet,
Imagine seeing that dragon fly on the street !
Three hundred million years old;
Remarkable story to be told!!
Ancient, beautiful, I mystify;
The magnificent...
Dragonfly.

Discover a Found Phrasis

passive quiet still
where reflections lie

to wander,to dream
digress and mystify

then discover and discern
the rudiments of grace

with exegesis rather than
eisegesis or paraphrase

a doctrine from macro
to micro....conceived

Dreams Delights

The sparks will fly
and often mystify
when dreams
give birth
to words
unspoken

Fairy tales come alive
mixed with nations lore
and the melody
of the two worlds
blend true

In dreamers wanderings
one wants not
for the other
as love transends
the journals
of time

Crickets Comply

Luna rises high
into an ebony sky,
as bats begin to fly.

Silence seeks sounds to amplify;
and while crickets comply,
Luna rises high.

Mating fireflies nearby
start flashing lights that mystify,
against ebony sky.

Warranting a sigh,
wolves howl and cry;
as bats begin to fly.

The Taksim Military Barracks

Listen to poem:
Behind a fence, the barracks,
the grim barracks,
but the barracks are no more.
Their domes were like an onion,
stealing the great show.

Julie went to see them in 1939,
but much after, no, soon after,
grim barracks were no more...
The onion domes don't mystify:
there's only mist to show.

Worlds Demise

Time ticks by there's no time to cry You can only turn a blind eye The world is ready to horrify And I wont stick around to say goodbye While I solidify You try to justify these actions that terrify It will petrify and mummify They wont mystify or mollify As you just stand there stultified

Animals

Listen to the night.
Four legs I run or wings I fly.
Wolves, tigers, canes, and eels.
They all walk the forest.
Living the life, given to them by destinies wheel.
Some fly in the sky,
Others live down in the depths of the sea.
The wild will always mystify.
Through wind, water, fire, and earth.
They will always run free.

Lightning explodes across endless black sky Sharp fingers extend from golden forked band Exposing terror and fright in child’s eye Thunderous BOOM echos across the land Mother Nature fails not to mystify Battle and Beauty entwined on scale grand Forever astounding with great power Determined grandeur amidst cool shower 6/5/2017

Monarch butterfly

Summer Rain

The gilded clouds turn dark before the rain
And roll as blackest waves across the sky
The lightning bursts and flashes like a vein
Its fingered traces seem to mystify
Clouds that form together are overlain
From strong and swirling winds that push them by
They turn black and gray shades of churning hue
When Summer rains become a cauldron's brew

Bemoaner Love

Another day first
Lights by and by
My heart is broken
Mourning, sorrowing
My quiet tears
Stunning to my ears
Sole in the haze of misery
To my mystify
Lapsed slipped away
Your face I observe
Gone your voice
The house with tune
Your hence makes me blue
A cut heals over time
Emotional pain glues
Eventually too
I will have a scar
It will remind me
Of my love for you

Forbidden Fruit

To think that I could set a spell
and have a little chat,
that out might pop a sweet rondel
like rabbits from a hat
whose origins no bard could tell -
can you imagine that?

But what might mystify me more:
to call that work my own.
Would you not have to silence shame
or are such thoughts unknown?
The tech is cool, that much is true;
sometimes my mind is blown,
but characters are often lost
once typed into a phone.

Cloud Theatrics

clouds up playfully dancing in the sky
scrapes and patterns nonchalantly floating by
shrouds of marshmallow forms that mystify
cottoncandy shapes in guises quite flamboyant
grounded gusts released on wings of butterfly
landscapes enjoy their suitors so gallant
magical theatrics in slow motion
whimsical courtship games incite emotion

Mountain Dream

Lightening and thunder striking ruinously
Thou I'm shocked but not lost
After all I'm free from horror

Beautiful and glittering roses beckon
Thou I didn't succumb to that mystery of bad icon
Nippy raindrops roll on me while I'm roaming in a dim world

I'm frighten by emotions of fear and knot by sadness
I think I'm in a wolf land with tears rolling down the corner of my eyes
I'm mystify when I see unknown lights and I believe I'm in darkness

A Newborn Babe

Mysticism is alive and well.
If this seems like a mystification, you have not experienced it yet.
But wait, what if you have?
Think on the mystique of a newborn babe.
You know this beautiful child has an inner glow, and sacred look, fresh from heaven.
Mystically alive, a soul-messenger.
A newborn will mystify even the most hardened skeptic.
You cannot hold one without instantly feeling that you are looking into the eyes of God.
Anyway, I cannot.

Untold Memory

That passing glimpse

A catch of the eye

A glance, a trick to mystify

There, dancing in Latin heat

To that rhythmic Salsa beat

You flash me a smile, dispelling all fears

As through a throng it promptly disappears

Then a teasing word, a dangerous thief

Stealing through that night of disbelief

Morning light our passion chases

Unfolding our close embraces

I hug that night’s untold memory

Close as the bark to the Old Oak Tree

Cucumber Pie

Are cucumbers cool
As a general rule?
How fresh is a daisy?
Are loons always crazy?

How snug is a bug
When he’s not in a rug?
How gentle are lambs
If not happy as clams?

How clever’s a fox
That’s as dumb as an ox?
How fit is a fiddle
Not clean as a whistle?

Are doornails most dead,
Or are dodos instead?
Is it drier than toast
To say “deaf as a post”?

Such puzzles befuddle and much mystify
Till suddenly you see they’re as easy as pie!

Dazzling Butterfly

https://m.soundcloud.com/user-921599710/dazzling-butterfly

Bold, dazzling butterfly
Spread your wings, release, defy
Blend amongst the coloured flowers
Resting through nocturnal hours
Basking balanced blissfully
Blossomed nature blessed and free
Soar beyond the boundary
Transformed so dramatically
Breakaway beyond the sky
Brush of brilliance, mystify
Beaming colours of fresh appeal
Dazzling butterfly, so surreal

Changing Perception

I am a chameleon
A changer of all sorts
Just when you figure me out
I'm not the same as before
I'm a master of illusion
Trickery in the arts
I'll mystify you with my skills to change
I hit you in your hearts
Just when you think you know me
You better look again
I shape shift over and over
Just so I don't have to let you in
I protect myself by changing
It's human nature to judge
At least if I can hide within myself
It's my heart that won't be scarred
