Summer Rain
The gilded clouds turn dark before the rain
And roll as blackest waves across the sky
The lightning bursts and flashes like a vein
Its fingered traces seem to mystify
Clouds that form together are overlain
From strong and swirling winds that push them by
They turn black and gray shades of churning hue
When Summer rains become a cauldron's brew
