Summer Rain

The gilded clouds turn dark before the rain And roll as blackest waves across the sky The lightning bursts and flashes like a vein Its fingered traces seem to mystify Clouds that form together are overlain From strong and swirling winds that push them by They turn black and gray shades of churning hue When Summer rains become a cauldron's brew 8/25/17 contest Summer Rain Storms

AWESOME, Frederic. For only using one stanza, this is about as good as it gets. by the way, for me, when I hear the phrase Indian Summer, it is usually October time when it becomes like summer one more time before the winter hits!
