Star light, star bright,
first flare I see tonight,

is a normal PX world;

All the flowers of my lifetime
Are spread across the sky
A panorama of hues 
And sizes
Multicoloured
Multi-shaped
Whirling swirling in a dance
Their perfume overwhelming
Setting my sense spinning
Until mentally I join them
And in my exhilaration
Realise
This isn’t dreaming
This is just dying
And it’s natural

I cared for my late wife for nearly two years.  Towards the end she was so happy, and died with the most beautiful smile on he face.  Perhaps this is what she was seeing....

Life discovered
As they soar into the air.

Waiting for a the wind to blow
The ribbon waits
Waiting for chemotherapy to take affect
The cancer patient standstill,
The ribbons lower
Sign of the calming wind
Hair shaven
Hoping for positive result.

Ribbons shortening, 
Colours faint
The cancer worsen
The patient fades.

As death for the patient approaches
The multicoloured ribbons weaken
As the blowing wind fades
While the patient heart stops....
