Life Is Like a Maypole

Ribbons waving,
Multicoloured
Life discovered
As they soar into the air.

Waiting for a the wind to blow
The ribbon waits
Waiting for chemotherapy to take affect
The cancer patient standstill,
The ribbons lower
Sign of the calming wind
Hair shaven
Hoping for positive result.

Ribbons shortening,
Colours faint
The cancer worsen
The patient fades.

As death for the patient approaches
The multicoloured ribbons weaken
As the blowing wind fades
While the patient heart stops.

Nehpets, so heartbreaking, an evil disease I wish there was a cure. 7 Good luck in the contest. Blessings Eve
