Picking the cherry stems to eat
Viewing the monkeys running round
The small things in life
Feeling caldo on this ground
You shouldn't poke at monkeys
unless you're a dummkopf
Who gets precisely what's deserved --
your fingers bitten off.
on
sunday morning
on
the
inner-city playgrounds
even
the
snow monkeys
get
entangled
upon
the
steel monkey bars
Like puppeteers
organ grinders will always exist;
there can never be a last;
there’s an endless supply of monkeys,
and sheep.
give monkeys typewriters and enough time ~ they’ll spell out a god or two

Apples and grapes of upper lands
Kings and stars prefer
King fruits and Star fruits in our hands
Monkeys and Donkeys to refer
Two monkeys sat in a tree
Laughing and pointing at me
It was so absurd
I flipped them the bird
Now the zoo is a place I can’t be
A PLUS
kids climb apple trees
grasp limbs like nimble monkeys
eating polished fruit

If you mix an Elephant and a Donkey
you will come up with a barrel full of Monkeys
holding guns and bibles
chanting the Zionists songs
Monkey Face!
Tilted to the side,
Giggle in the move,
Elbows down!
Never a frown,
Fists tight to the chin.
Monkey face!
Always a grin.
the
white snow monkeys
basking and daydreaming
In the hot springs,
still
drunk
with
their bellies
full of
sweet wild gooseberries
Monkeys came
under
Men’s command
though
Men came
from
Monkeys told
Men or Monkeys
this advanced?

chained to dance
A banana is the fruit of choice
for monkeys in the trees
Ben's girlfriend got the message
and put it 'tween her door-keys
awesome gymnastic
jump from tree's branch with free style
monkeys' are masters
Monkeys - start on your typewriters now.
I need you to work fast - and how.
There is nothing more pressing than a
contest deadline - no time for a banana.
At Christmas I contracted the flu
From taking the kids to the zoo
The hippos were a wheezing
Ten monkeys were sneezing
Now my temperature’s a hundred and two!
Two baby monkeys
Playing in the tree,
One swinging on a rope
The other playing with the leaves.

mysterious mystical myriad-minded Milton
mustered mutable muscle-bound Man’s
mutinous modernistic money-making merriment
mystifying mushy mike’s mangled monkeys
spooky ku'
they are all around
redrum-redrum-redrum- blood

fly monkeys, fly fly

I never knew that most monkeys will swoon
To eat bananas in a real saloon --
They'll snarf down bunches
After monster lunches --
Then vomit up the peels in the spittoon
I once met a monkey,
the monkeys name was Humphrey.
Humphrey did confront me,
he did it bold and bluntly.
What happend next I haven't a clue.... the grumpy monkey thumped me.
The Wizard of Oz leaves me chilled
(take those weirdos, the Lollipop Guild),
but West Witch's flunkies,
those strange flying monkeys,
leave my poor lion's heart terror filled.

At the mercy of leering monkeys
From which one shrinks
A changeless sum
Challenged by a scornful Spinx.
