just enough coffee
just enough heat
splash of cream
like drinking a Dream
(title misspelled on purpose, brouhaha.)
The lips that speak
Those perverse words
Are often misspelled
Mostly unheard.

At Ellis Island there were tons of lines
If you stood too long you were given fines
Your name easy if
It was Rose or Big Biff
Mine was misspelled about a hundred times
each neophyte who has seen divine light
shouts from the rooftops, the sight so beheld
though mere words cannot translate bliss delight
he yet shares his knowing in rhymes misspelled
A poet who was very late for a contest,
submitted a long poem on line, but
misspelled Zareba for Zebra!
Darn it, he was thinking of wild Africa!
Didn't it cost him points and a pain in the chest?
The square root of sixteen is four
The veg root of turnip is swede
The tooth root of dentist is pain
The route we must take is misspelled
The root of each line is a "the"

Let’s
admit
that it’s true
we can deny
but it goes nowhere
and leads us back to truth
typos are a part of life
those misspelled words by accident
hound and haunt us to our dying days
we only hope to find absolution

Spelling Oops!
Spelling bee champ rewarded
Holds high trophy awarded
Pride in hard work, done so well
Oops! "Spelling" on plague misspelled!
Former President Trump
Sat on his awesome "yhuge"rump,
Dreaming of having his ultimate revenge
While on a drug and vengeance Benge.
note: misspelled huge as "Yhuge" because the former President mispronounced it that way and comedians mocked him for it for years.
spelling matters... no word should be misspelled unless by doing so meaning is added
these are my thoughts and mine alone.. no one else is responsible for them. remember that
most thoughts are discardable

one set of rules in a sea of billions and billions
My left brain and my right brain are never in sync
I can cough up the best words but they will be misspelled
Or I can toss out perfect words
But they have no flavor, no emotion, no zest.
Poets can do no more than the muse allows
My muse is ready to show off
Dare I hold her back?
knowing all is one
why’re we not undone
attracted, repelled
name of God misspelled
ego’s the fault line
but since we’re divine
our void-centric view
let’s bliss beats renew
seeing God in all
we’ll then never fall
since spirit not form
exudes His love warm
let us not be lax
correct parallax
viewing auric fields
as power God wields
Wet lines drawn on her cheeks
Trapped in the loneliness of sorrow
Eluding the mocking faces
She walked in the alley alone
A woman so much misspelled
her beauty was the villain-
of yesteryears , now just a scar
of perversion and abuse.
The unruly hair , the stony face
She could not be more pathetic
But who got to care these,
In this vast globe shrinking fast.
Oh, I shall tell tall tales today,
Full, great, big bushy lies.
A hairy tale, a scary tale,
All covered in disguise.
Just lying there, soon to ensnare,
A snake to give one fright,
But when my grandchild grabs at it,
It moves, to her delight!
Something’s amiss, this shaggy tale,
You’re starting to surmise.
If I misspelled a tale today,
Would you be none-the-wise?
For sale a bunch of fine unused words, many misspelled
Poet can’t uses them; mind is on strike, the pen has been stilled
These words never used for they never quite seemed to fit
Got them online; advertisement said they were a complete poetry kit
Can’t send them back because I did use a few; the remainder unused
Selling at half price; many are funny words which will leave you amused
Sometimes I do
Sometimes I don't
Sometimes I will to
And want but won't
Sometimes I want
And can and will
'F'ya wanna know which one
Just ask, “What's the deal?”

Semi-random thoughts on clarifying in collaboration vs. wild-wicked assuming solo.....
oh, wait! I misspelled 'F'ya.. is only 'fya.. so much for indulgence.. hope I've not wasted y'all's time.. whew, that feels better!
Inspiring my heart to bring out the best,
Filling me with love past the test,
No misspelled words within the rhyme,
Struck a chord, and let love fly,
The beat of your heart knocked in tune,
This song prepared to make you move,
The volume jacked up, you feel it inside,
The vibration telling you your hearts still alive,
No longer will you take it for granted,
Or get lost within the fantasies bondage,
I feel like I want to cross the boundaries with you
I feel like I want to tell you about me, my feelings about you
I feel like I need not to
Am afraid of losing you if I do so
Am afraid that I don't have that pass
Even thou you are my biggest sport to cheer
Do I have to spell correctly?
Do I have to proofread?
Or do you want me to come mispelled?
Or do you want me to keep no time?
Because I will misspell, if you want me too
~ Imprinted ~
A kiss held and tucked away…
Stolen times for a rainy day…
Another dream under a different sky…
Words escaped a misspelled goodbye…
Imprinted and saturated in a poets sigh…
A clenched kiss that will never fly…
They put up a sign on the highway
Which pointed the way to a bridge,
Replacing the prior one, thinking
Perhaps it improved things a smidge.
But yikes! No one bothered to proofread;
The name of the bridge was misspelled.
If I were the person in charge, well,
They’d censor the words I’d have yelled.
It boggles the mind to imagine
How something so stupid occurred.
A double-check would have made certain
Such nonsense would have been deterred.
Scribbles and doodles all over the paper
Hearts and stars and a poem to a broken love song
Words misspelled and sentences crossed out
Meaning behind the meaning never had a doubt
Single word or phrase and somehow his name appears
She looks at it ten or twenty times
Before she knows it its all over the paper
Balloon letters, block, hell even script
Miss him, but things will never be the same
She holds the paper in her hand
Takes a second look
Then crumbles it away.
Form:
Diet is really edit misspelled.
I'd rather think of it that way.
It seems easier to modify,
Than it does to take away.
Diet is also a harsh word.
Starvation leaps to mind.
A jailer who throws the key away,
Because eating is a crime.
Edit is a nicer word.
Rearranged it spells the tide.
A picture of ebbing serenity,
Erosion over time.
Diet is more of a challenge.
A gauntlet slapped in your face!
While edit simply reminds us,
A pencil may also erase.
