Busy bees work hard
To gather garden pollen.
I enter to forage
There are vegetables to pick
They attack mercilessly--stung!
Comfort comes in small doses
But pain gushes
Fills in those holes
That you thought you covered up
I’ll pat you dry
When the torture rains mercilessly
Form:
Crows' feast
a good job, farmer
he prepares dinner for us
let's toast and eat it up!
Farmer's moan
they appear from nowhere
steal my seed mercilessly
fruitless my labour
The sharp edges
spiky points
that once sliced
mercilessly.
Round and mellow
with age
tempered
by incessant
pounding waves.
The world now viewed
through an unpolished lens;
a pale blue haze.
This
Alien extension
Acquired tragically
Is rejected unconsciously
As minute defences
Wage war mercilessly
Vulnerable as combat rages
Transformed while I'm dead
Reborn with us United
Are you my friend?
...and if I'm lucky, find some meaning, however small,
to care for it like a flower
and watch it bloom
and grow senselessly and mercilessly,
but thank God for that, because otherwise
it could wither and disappear in silence.
He was lying there naked
Tempting me –
I wanted him oh so much
Finally I could take no more
I grabbed him mercilessly
Popped him in my mouth
I’ve never been able to resist eating Jelly Babies!

Love lusts longingly
Hate hurts heartily
Marriage mars mercilessly
Wife whines woefully
Husband hustles habitually
Sex sells shamelessly
Politician preys persistently
Priest panders pompously
Cash corrupts completely
War wrecks wantonly.
My beasts of the morning
Come shadowing,lurking
Into my soul they plunder
Mercilessly
Turning their leering eyes upon me
Gleeming their spectral bodies unto me
Mercilessly
And I know my beasts of the morning
And I serve them well
Shattering roses
In the sea mercilessly,
Voiding our hearts
And thoughts of emotion transfixing
Apathy and lacking empathy of me,
Or of we disintegrating into the sands of a perplexed
Individuality
Such is the fate of, I
The individuality
The Sahara is another vast sea
Of zero-edge horizons
And remote hours of austerity
For "sailors" upon caravans
And the Sun beams mercilessly
And seems cruel to patrons
Until the Wind scoffs haggardly
And reshapes its art of dunes.
Mercilessly, no ifs, ands, buts -
His wife of one year, who is nuts,
Coldcocks him with a paper tube.
What’s worse from this wife, who’s a boob,
Her killing’s done with paper cuts.

Sorry the title is sensational and misleading…chuckle
Katrina, you left your mark on our land, hearts, minds,
A mercilessly unyielding rabid force of wrath,
Those who tarried paid the highest price...death,
Regression, grieving, rebuilding,
In the aftermath of distress,
Never to forget,
And life goes on.
Frothing, Churning
The liquid inside me
Tries to Escape
I stay closed
And toss about
My Load all the more.
The weight of the Load
Made of sodden fabrics
Is nothing compared
To my Strength
I toss about mercilessly
Soaking, Tumbling,
I am undefeated.
What Am I?
Thoughts of the past cloud my mind
They invade my thoughts mercilessly
Arising from the cobwebs of my mind
Bringing with them stings that hurt mercilessly
Things long forgotten and left behind
Appearing before me so vividly
Leaving me hopelessly drained.
Form:
At last the game has ended
Checkmate, I fell for you
A pawn in your game of decit
Mercilessly sacraficed for your future queen
Falling back to reality I embrace the final blow
Loving is my sin
Heartbreak was my death sentence
Pain, my final resting place
As red summer cindered
mercilessly dried up water sources so much
left life parched
lives prayed prayers
Monsoon winds dashed with ardor such
downpours
life dead
by nature's touch
End
As red summer cindered
Monsoon winds dashed with ardor such
End
Without air, fire cannot spread;
When they combine all are dead.
Very close friends are fire and air;
Loss is maximum when they pair.
Whatever that comes their way;
Mercilessly, they eat them away.
Nature’s components are they;
Play not with them, the wise say.
Thanks to Father DeMino fir reminding me the world cannot bite off all our Jesus-kinda-Love. So here goes-
"If you love sacrificially, you won't expect thanks and only lose a blip of Eternity." Deo
Joe DeMino did add, "ouch for that blip" that got gobbled up mercilessly
OUR YOUTH
Our youth:
A dazzling cloud filled with myriads droplets of
Glittering dreams
Proudly hovering in the morning sky of our
Life
Mercilessly chased by the ravenous rays of age’s
Sun
Till all is devoured by voracious
Time!

In the frozen night, a sigh was heard,
today I killed myself.
I uprooted my soul
and threw it away in the dark.
some stray dogs bit him mercilessly.
it was tasteless, the feelings had consumed it.
I killed myself and had no regrets,
not even when my lips were dripping love.

Mercilessly,
many are drowning,
in the stress of everyday life.
We cry out for help,
but most ears are only attentive
to crowd generated noise,
and thus ignore the whispering,
of a drowning, solitary voice.
It seems
A sadness creeping in
An errant breeze
Bereft of ocean scent
More an idle odor
Mercilessly meandering
Tingeing all
With its turbid touch
Recalling
From the depth of joy
A hidden angst
A faded scar-like distress
Painless
Yet
Somehow
Calling attention
To itself
I, too, have tasted the evil of hatred
when all I wanted to share was my love.
With untruths and lies I was baited
because the hue of my skin wasn’t as white as the dove.
Mercilessly unloved and hated,
Hatred and love baited the dove, mercilessly.
From my poem: ‘Love over Hate’ submitted on 03/07/2026.
There could be soft spots in this earthly sojourn,
But all agree that there are arid zones
That sear and inflame your bones,
Times you wouldn't want for a second relived;
The diamond rocks in the flesh of butter,
Occasions on which the claws of fate engulfed
And tentacles of hard luck mercilessly ground.
