After each line I regret it
It can't get much worse

Chicago Med
Chicago Med is my main jam.
My favorite is when Dr. Sam
Haughtily consults
And others insults
While acts like not giving a damn.

Just Ask and It Shall Be Given.
This Club Med lagoon really holds the heat,
with a beach front view and a coral suite.
But the best of all
as we watch it fall
is how they serve up each meal on a sheet!...

American Med I Sin
god says
i won't take

the doctor says

but god says

you a

so for
god's sake

take a stand
I demand of you

but doctors preach
what the AMA

teaches

Turn It Up
When my bipolar gets me down,
I do not take a med.
Crank up a disc of Johann Strauss;
that gets inside my head.

I have been known to dance and hum
and waltz around the room.
That gay and happy music helps
me push away the gloom....

Wed To the Dark
Many visions in my head
Most resemble the walking dead
Wide awake lying in my bed
Evil thoughts must be fed
Scoring HIGH on my dark cred
To it I am wed
Scenes dripping a blood red
So many times I have said
I think I need some more of my med...

Health
Mine, all
Loose call.

Open,
Chokin’.

No frills,
Some ills.

Change this,
Get this.

Change this,
No dis.

Change this,
Get miss.

Med sure,
The lure.

Ingrain,
The strain.

Sit-ups,
My cups.

No doubt,
The shout....

My Dad Drowned

Air, land and sea does seem all around,
And another challenge have newly found;
Did know,
Was long ago;
In Med my dad had ended up drowned?

Da Mouse
The Mouse

I was going to bed,
after the trip to the med.
But then I saw something,
It looked frightening.

It squealed terrible shrieks,
from what looked Like beaks.
It was small,
with a creepy claw.

It frightened me,
It was so creepy!
But as soon as I ran out of the house,
I found out it was just a mouse....

Premium Member Sleepy Thoughts
Lying on my small bed..
On the biggest pillow is my head..
A notepad I half read..
Then, I drink this med..

For my head and body aches..
I tried to forget and fake..
Unluckily, I cannot..
For my stomach also went knots..

Now i breathe deep
As I wanna sleep
Pillows on my hips
Warming me quips

Premium Member It Was One of Those Mornings
One morning my allergy med
was messing with my poor old head.
			Then--what a sad sight:
			"Your poems aren't right
for our journal," two e-mails said!

			     *******************

One morning I woke feeling great.
			I had plans, and I couldn't wait.
			I did all I meant
			to do; then I went
to walk, still in my happy state.

Premium Member Birds Thrive In the Sunlight
Bluebirds thrive in sunshine, the wallystompers said.
I rolled my hazel eyes to the back of my head.
Cardinals like it too tweeted a bird, more pink than red.
That’s a male cardinal said a goldfinch. We call him Fred.

Many of our songbirds have flown down to Club Med.
To seek even more sunlight, said my weird cousin Ned.
He does not fly very well, drops down sometimes like lead.
He cannot help it, he is a penguin someone else said....

Dem Bones
Inside every one of us,
A skeleton resides.
Unless exposed by X-rays,
It’s protected and it hides.

The thin among us feel its bones,
Reminding us it’s there;
While those of pillowy proportions
Know it’s tucked somewhere.

In med school, students learn the names
Of every single bone.
On Halloween, a skeleton
That dances might be shown.

But other times, we all forget
That underneath our skins,
We all resemble one another,
More alike than twins....
