There once was a boy from Troy
That Unisys would not employ
He said he really didn't care
he'd find work elsewhere
Now he's working for Henkels and McCoy...

There was an American laddie named McCoy,
his inventions the steam locomotives joy,
although the powers to be drank to his health,
made sure he didn’t share in their wealth.

Walter Brennan
A splendid actor was the late Walter Brennan. There were so many movies and television shows he was in. One of his characters I would particularly enjoy: That was when he played grandpa Amos McCoy.

There was a young lady,
Called Mrs McCoy.
Who went to the shop
To pick up a new toy.

The chap at the counter
Lost all of his banter,
When in her handbag
It started to deploy.

I know what your thinking
And I've not been drinking.
It was only a rocket,
For her little boy....

I attended the funeral of a friend 10 years ago.
It was by far the most unpretentious of funerals.
Notwithstanding, it was real, vintage, and genuine.
The face of the funeral looked identical to my friend.
The body was well done, but I'm speaking of the character
of the funeral itself. Like my friend Cal, it was the real McCoy.

When I was just a little boy
Aged seven I had so much joy
In Commander Job I was so fond
He was Ian Fleming's James Bond
A war hero, he's the real McCoy

* When I was seven years old, I had the privilage of staying with

Hunk of Plastic
When I was a little boy
There was one I called my favorite toy
Though I loved it, it wasn’t the real McCoy.
I got it in a trade with my friend Roy
Mommy it did annoy
When Dad stepped on it, I played coy
Though a hunk of plastic I found joy
With all my games I did employ
Against big monsters I did deploy
A box of firecrackers did destroy
I really miss that toy...

My Big Feet
So much depends on the weather,
But it doesn't matter--
Some stare, other glare.
It's funny I admit, the looks I get--
They bring their own atmosphere.
Still they hurt, and it isn't fair--
They're so big, popping out everywhere.
Someone called me...
"Double D", a "Boulderholder", and "Juggs McCoy"--
(sigh)
"Fun for girls and boys"

Cardinals past sun glazed window, scarlet joy,
Sapphire sparkling in cool waters, ships ahoy,
Crows on reddening skies, an evening convoy,
Bees on quest for gold honey, the real McCoy!

Jeweled hummingbird murmur, bloom to bloom,
And blur of fuchsia motions, one butterfly June,
Dragonflies in rubies, lost to the summer zoom,
As the sun arose to its zenith, at marigold noon....

Life
There comes a time in one’s life
That you have to take stock
Regardless of stress; despite any strife
Love, pleasure, passion and joy
Always be sure it’s the real McCoy
You will need to restock
so many things yet to strive
But with God in your life
and love on your side
take all anguish and suffering in stride
don't let it break you
always move on
for God gave us his one only son...

Showdown
Whoa, ship ahoy, girls can play this game.
So we’re not a boy, we’ll win just the same.
Yo, like Hatfield/McCoy, choose sides, your name.
Go balloon convoy, water’s our claim to fame.

Though the weapon’s a toy, take careful aim;
Throw smart, redeploy or we'll lose in shame.
No fair playing coy or casting blame;
Slow down and enjoy the reason we came.

What's to win (or lose) in water balloon fights.

Premium Member A Toy Boat Or a Boy Goat
Sell me a toy boat or a boy goat
Make that one boy goat, two toy boats
No: Two boy goats, one toy boat
Wait. Make it one boy goat named Roy Oates

Ha, ha: Back again with soy oats
Soy oats for boy goats, not for toy boats
Toy boats, not boy goats, deploy decoy floats
So, that's two toy boats, one toy goat
~ A coy note: Redeploy McCoy groats for soy oats
