unusual color of mushrooms
dainty delicate exquisite violets
I walk through the forest
marveling at God’s handiwork
there is a flash of wings
a raven or hawk
gone, never forgotten...

Azimuth
As daylight transpires
I peek whilst marveling
If I shall ever procure my stance
Everywhere I may tread
Along the astral patterns
Sagacity reclines
Though eyes may never see
Beyond the facade...

M'I Sun
teach me thy ways,
i follow
you;
the warmth,
changing colors,
everlasting
	radiance,
I stand in the rays,
marveling the path;
we contemplate
The evening set,
	your fiery dusk
friend, love
	end the day....

Be a Friend
Softly
Gently
Let us be warm and friendly.

Curious
But cautious
Happiness is much too precious.

Marveling
Wondering
What days ahead will bring.

Softly
Gently
Let us be warm and friendly.

Premium Member Mrs Z Can You Yes
Mrs. Z, can you?
Yes! She shrieks with delight, not caring what it is.
We need you to….
OKAY! She agrees, wanting to please.
Do you need to….
No, she says, interrupting her boss once again.
The rest of us stare in amazement.
Marveling that she is supposedly a therapist.
Don’t they have to listen?...

Suddenly Spring
Endless days of gray and drizzle
Bumbershoots constantly at the ready
Constantly we pull on our overshoes
And break out once again the slicker

Suddenly and brilliantly the sky appears blue
We peer with shaded and squinted eyes
Marveling at the sheer, elegant beauty
In Washington, spring has finally arrived...

Whisper Hello
Sweet flower tree whispers hello
Walking past she interrupted...

Glorifying wings of spring on her branches
Marveling her purple paper star shower
Inhaling her peaceful unlocked power
My spirit has lifted....

"Hello, I whisper back,
"Thanks for interrupting!"

^(How a tree made me feel today)...

Pen in hand
Marveling at the night sky
Cosmic beauty
Wafting into every pore

Poetry flows out of an unknown place
Possibly given by another planet
Windy grasses whisper their appreciation
Muse dances a pretty tribute

Moon smiles at the sight
Angels wait, souls sigh.
A poet is writing.
All is well with the world....

Time
Ancient thoughts that robbed my mind
Twin only to celestial time
Idled is how time is seen
oh how lonely time must be
Death has swallowed time erase
get thee thither no time to waste
Endless mirrored time prolonged
thrushed into timeless beautifully adorned
Mocking recklessly marveling at the chase
Longing for time to take her place...

Dust Flies
Fireflies of dust dart through the blue ocean sky past Orion, the Dipper and Mars,
No cloud in sight,
A half-crescent smiling on those it shines on and they shine back watching,
Marveling at the fireworks of nature,
Hallucinating constellations of ignorance and light-heartedness,
Watching for the next fly to burn through the atmosphere....

Premium Member Silent December Night
Early December evening. From my office window, I watch the nighttime slowly arrive. I step outside marveling at the delicate blooms of crystal white with the conjuring of steel-gray clouds. The Christmas season comes as a promise and an open-gloved hand.

snowflakes dance and fall silent night, a peaceful calm Christmas magic calls

Sans Sand
I'm relaxing on
A beach with no sand,
Marveling at an ocean
With no water
Under a sky with no stars

I'm relaxing
In my mind,
Or what's left of it,
I think it likely,
It's just a tiny bit

Of what it once was
Did I, in fact,
Fall from grace?
Insult someway,
The human race?

Oh, who cares,
Let it be,
What matters most,
Is what I
think of me....

Premium Member The Delight of Birds
Listen to poem:
Wings spread wide,
Birds soar through the sky,
Graceful creatures of flight,
Bringing joy to all who watch,
Aerial ballet.

Chirps and tweets,
Melodies fill the air,
Nature's symphony plays on,
Lifting spirits with each note,
Birdsongs in spring.

Colorful plumes,
A vibrant display,
Beauty in every feather,
Marveling at their splendor,
The joy of birds....

Just Half the Story
A poem is just a bunch of words.
A flock is just a bunch of birds
And Mensa’s just a bunch of nerds,
Yet that’s just half the story.

For writing them so they will flow
Or watching as they skyward go
Or marveling at all they know
Is what provides the glory.

The rhyme and rhythm worth the read,
The soaring high with steady speed,
Eureka moments that we need
And all is hunky-dory!...

December 26
December 26

You Are Here!

Amid morning stars and waning moon,
Our Savior coos.
‘Neath scent of mhyrr and gold’s glittering,
You sleep, Your tiny arms now resting from their blessings.

Little One, now we are in the light of Your love,
Undeserving, only waiting, glowing,
With earth’s father and mother’s marveling,
Amid morning stars and waning moon,

You are here now born to Save.

December 26....

Premium Member Owl Serenade
whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
startling me ……………………………….the first time
in the dark, surrounding me, coming from
God only knew what direction.

I stood motionless, marveling at owl’s hollowness.
It was as if she makes her own unique echo.
whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I hear her much more often now,
but
I am ready
Not nearly as frightened.
Does my hair still stand up on my arms? Sure....

Premium Member Fairy Tales
If there is a version of us
reflected by the stars in the sky
the world dappled with supernovas
would be left with a breathless sigh;

Faith’s bountiful cup would pour
from Earth’s crown flowing with ease;
Romance would live once more
marveling at our masterpiece;

Reclaiming what was lost long ago
your feelings so easily dismissed;
Now gazing at our love you know
that fairy tales really do exist....

Premium Member Feelings Without Names At Dusk
Cosmic faerie magic is afloat in the waves,
I feel her in the sun as she attempts to set.
Water nymphs splash kick a rock, trying for attention.
The water is dark tonight, I dare not venture in this late.

Gorgeous periwinkle sky is laced with pink streaks.
This delights my soul, as I feel the fey at work.
I sit by the water’s edge, listening to the silence.
Marveling at feelings without names, felt only at dusk....
