WINTER'S COME
tempers lowering
sun hardly shines anymore
signs of winter comes

Written words by James Edward Lee Sr. 2020©
the moth beats its wings
frantically
now elevating
now lowering
apocalyptically...
the candle extinguished
what was that
all about
lowering fleecy
in the magellanic clouds
precision floating

Cloudy
Ominous display
Lowering, twisting, threatening.
Bleak, severe? Gentle showers?
Refreshing, newness, refreshing
Blue sky
Sunshine
By lowering your standards, you have droped
your crown. You are beautiful, you deserve
nothing less then greatness.Pick that crown
up and walk with your head held high.

Sun lowering in the distance
Bright red streaks
Dark mysterious purple
A touch of pink
Intake of breath
Wide eyes
In an instant
The sun is gone
Stealing away the warmth
Darkness in the air
The lowering sun shines through the trees
Reflecting off the ground so bright.
In this last hour before daylight flees
To be replaced by the starry night,
Which covers in darkness the snowy white.
The absence of war-
Within myself
Created deep inside
Lowering all pride
Light shining from the face
Grace now taking its place
In the canvas that now lives and breathes-
As a masterpiece
Mastering peace
Bundled up huddled up
and
rosy cheeked
my wooly-capped son and I
listen to the bell-runner's song
beneath a lowering sky
confidence lacking
running low
on empty
internal engine
controlling self-esteem
levels
depleted motivation
driving force
give up on goals
give in to self-doubt
lowering the bar even
lower than before
Lowering her eyes, deeply she blushed
Perhaps my stare a bit too rushed
Turned her pretty shoulder away from me
Left no doubt of what would be
Leonardo The Loyal,
Slow silence lowering but
Who where we to know,
Flowing and pouring, pouring
Purple and royal his chin,
As crochet vines, looming
luxuriously, pennys as payment
Selling everything, the black agent
From the garbage bins she took out the cans,
On the station she had no fans.
Wandering and lowering her gaze,
Sighing and praying all in one phrase.
Days later I saw her again,
Muma won't wake up again,, she said in pain.
Silently waiting, rifle in hand
Observing the enemy; like ants in the sand
Lowering the sights, no time for regrets
Distant gun fire; how many are left
Injured or dying
Exhausted, bereft?
Remnants of war we must never forget.
A gladsome tree, you
Or far less amused
Lowering these, your limbs to
Snatch that in them held?
I can't tell. Except
With no wind to blame
Mushiest, as for it kept
A head, one apple
Of a size none can grapple
Has on it just ' felled'.

Why are the "good ones" the first
to die
Why can't We see Heaven, from
the sky
Why do birds, SOUTH, for the
Winter fly
Why is it so hard to say:good--
bye
Why, at the lowering of a casket,
do We cry
Why of "good samaritans", are We
short on supply
As both the subject and object,
how may we awake in the dream,
if fears and desires rise unchecked,
lowering our soul’s self-esteem?
Cessation is the only way,
to exit the game of shadows,
looking at this life, as mere play,
dancing in God’s fragrant meadows.
Paranoia
Crippling me
Slowly
Consuming my thoughts
Erasing my existence
Dividing my light
Transforming so into
The dark
Splitting them
Lowering the voice
In my ear
Serving me more
Downhill
Terror grows inside the brain
A way out of it for me
A soul refrains
Form:
Brown and green colors of dirt and grass
three inches tall in spring mud between my toes
wet from the sprinkler I ran through this afternoon.
Under a lowering gray sky fallen wet maple leaves
red and yellowey brown veined against the stiff dying lawn
dusted with glitter from last night’s frost.
I venture forth in this wood unknown
Trembling inside this greenery overgrown
I trustingly advance each step foreward
Inching towards my fate unguarded
Lowering my gaze somewhat subdued
I spy my rainbow my future I view
Longing future wisdom spiralling notions
My lusty prelude to imagination enthrown!
Just this morning, my pen mourn
And drifted into slumber
I saw shadows and dusts
Babies in the pool of regrets
Anarchy in the wombs of women
There they stoop and stood
Lowering his dust and shadows
To father-earth
In the agony of his eternal adventure
Our bones wept
Just this morning the author died.
Summer is gone
And it's autumn fall begins to go
Verano se ha ido
Winter is coming
Winter is coming
Temperatures lowering
Pray tell
Divine
Falling leaves will soon turn
into blistering snow
Verano se ha ido
Winter is coming

(F)lowering blossoms, spread color like paint
(L)ingering sweet scents, flowing in the air
(O)n bushes, lawns, gardens and the hills
(W)here we sit, walk, run and visit
(E)very color to see these new days of spring
(R)eminding us, what simplicity can bring
(S)waying with our soul in the breeze

As the lowering sun
Keeps the earth's
Night at bay
They say
Make hay
Whilst the
Sunshines.
As the sun
Disappears
It displays arrays
Orchestrating
Colorful sprays
Magnificently
Closing the day...
The stage is set for
Final curtain calls
The credits roll,
We breath in
Exhaling praises to
The Supreme Director!
