Aunt Marjorie gave me a snowman brooch for Christmas
I was beyond proud of it
wore it everywhere for a week
until I lost it in the snow

Martyr

Autumn declines and the Lover falls
Heroes die and duty calls
Martyrs are men who have lost it all
fighting senselessly in political brawls

Politics has always been about power
Those who have it, wield it

         Those who’ve lost it
            ~ plot to retrieve it

What Can I Say

What can I say?
I loved too much
And now
There is nothing
But another
Hopeless day
I’ve lost it all
With no regrets
I stood in line
And placed my bets

When I Lost You I Lost It All

you were my christmas gift
i was a bad stiff
treated you bad
now am sad
sitting around blue
still love you too
you are my down fall
WHENI LOST YOU I LOST IT ALL

Friend?

Quickly fading
Deeper and deeper
It fell out of my grasp
Seeped through my fingers
Unable to keep it
I arrogantly lost it
Saddest of all
I didn't realize it was gone

I saw the world fall apart

As i saw the world fall apart
I saw the flowers lose their
Spark i saw the water take
Over the flowers fall i saw
The world fall apart the
World lost it Spark

Hair No More

The hair on my head is no more. I lost it at age twenty-four. The X chromosome made useless my comb and brought shiny scalp to the fore.

there was a young maiden named Pat
who swore to her first boyfriend she was intact
one night it was said

she cried out oh alas I have finally lost it

Lost Cairo Biro

There was a young writer from Cairo,
So proud of his free flowing biro,
But he lost it in the sand
When a camel knocked his hand,
No longer his writing can flow so.

The New Job

The New Job
Dr. James E. Martin

He started his job at six,
He was ready to enter the mix.
He lost it as seven,
Not his view of heaven,
So now it is back to the sticks.

Premium Member THE DICHOTOMY OF TIME

May we be blessed to understand the dichotomies of time….
(For dichotomies is something time shall never lack!)
It’s free…yet it’s priceless
and once you’ve lost it…you can never get it back.

Duhhh!

I received a quick look
And returned a nice smile
I received a slight stare
And returned a slow nod

I received a cute wink
And returned a Hi ya
I received a number :)
And lost it in laundry ;(

Lo, the Missing Link has been found
Caught by the Net, he is fast bound.
Seeking to keep his privacy
He lost it to trade piracy.
As partners share nation to nation,
Identity goes on chain migration.

Drunks

Drunks

Stay in Funks

No longer look like Hunks

Use Sidewalks for Bunks

Get beaten up by Punks

And though they have Lost it All

They'll be in the Bodega Tomorrow

Looking for some Alcohol

Premium Member Messed Up

I drank and nearly
Lost it all
Messed up
Woke up in jail
Got out and walked in slippers
The three quarter mile stretch
Then to the bus and home
What a great day and now things
Are already getting better

There Is Something I Must Admit

There Is Something I Must Admit

There is this thing I really must admit;
Every time that I went into my closet,
Looked everywhere;
Was hard to bare;
Whatever I was looking for had lost it.

Chasing Tomorrow

In the middle of tomorrow
I felt yesterday's breeze...
It passed through me like
a lasting warm kiss...
I chased after the feeling
with arms stretched wide...
But lost it in the air as
tomorrow stole today...

The Six Shooter

They say it won the West, or lost it to a faster draw
Made most men brave. even a coward or two
Yes Sir, six shots of tequila and they all hit the floor
