Chasing Tomorrow

In the middle of tomorrow
I felt yesterday's breeze...
It passed through me like
a lasting warm kiss...
I chased after the feeling
with arms stretched wide...
But lost it in the air as
tomorrow stole today...

You really have become a master poet, Michael. I've always admired your work, but I see growth. The message in this poem is so profound. It is far better to live in the present than to "chase" the future or dwell too much on pst mistakes. A stunning poem, my friend. Love, Carolyn

At first this seemed like a light poem, pleasant to read aloud. But then I started to read more depth, yesterday's breezelioke a ghost that haunts. Love it.
