Litterally Absurd

A dog by the side of the road
Whelped out her cute little load
A copper who saw
Reeled off the law
Cited for littering I’m told

Rock Bottom

Loaded blue-eyed woman
On the blood wheel
Three-legged train grinds
Mindlessly delicious cuts
Sweat gently littering the floor

Winters Litter

Broken sticks and limbs littering the snow-clad ground; remnants of a storm. Winter’s tantrum, rages on; there’ll be fewer trees, in spring.

Recycle

Reduce pollution
Everyday by using
Common sense
You can recycle soda
Cans, scrap metal, paper, and many other items
Littering should cease to cause the
Earth to have more inner peace.

Zero In

Anticipating, beckoning, casting demonic, enviable fury, gazing hungrily inside, jutting kerosene, littering masses never opted, putrefying quills, reverting sympathy, turning upside-down…vaccinating whim, x-raying yesteryears…zero in

We Are At War

We are at war.
Though, no sound of cannon
To announce its trauma
No blind bullets
Sacking the preyed places
No lifeless bodies
Littering the silent streets
No flying fires
Sending smokes to rule the sky,
When you stare us in the eyes
You'd see we are at war.

I Can Control.

I pause every couple feet,
my shoes and pant cuffs soaked.
I stop to save the drowning worms
pinkish-gray, nearly gasping
littering the sidewalk like leaves.

you pull on my coat sleeve
and say stupid boy-things
bruise fingerprints on my arm and
kick at the writhing worms.

I Swept the House

Okay, I swept this house, enter now
What is lost is lost, but we can share
The canaries songs littering the bough
Dancing with them, if you will stare
Through the window me, away from it
The hawk circling the sky. O I will sit
Until you are tired of it ... the lovely view
Of nature ambiguous, and the missing clue.

Night Stars

Night
Is gold
Glittering
Holds me, oh so...
Tight

Still
This night
Arresting
Resplendent, the...
Stars

Technicolor Daydream

Bottles bobbing in melting ice
Little lights littering the house
Clicking chatters of party guests gushing
Colors creating cosmic creations of fantasy as
My mind drifts into a delightfully dreamy bliss

This is my first attempt at an alliteration. I may have done it completely wrong. Sorry it is so short as well.

Him - 3

He is a thought,
that does not speak,
but can be heard.

An image not real,
yet is seen.

The burn of temptation,
without a touch.

A breath silenced,
by a kiss.

A menace, a muse,
a joy, a disaster.

He is the torn pages,
from a diary of regret,
littering the floor beside the bed.

Yet Another Spring

Listen to poem:
White and red and pink
oleanders bloom--
they are blown in wind,
littering grass and
drying on the bricks
of my front patio.
Orchid trees are flowering,
and royal poncianas.
Surprising jacarandas stun;
orange blossoms, honeysuckle,
jasmine, and acacia assail the senses,
while I, alive, enjoy
yet another
Spring!

Of Trash and Treasure

 trash
                putrid, unwanted
         wasting, littering, disposing,
 pickups, accumulations, wealth, coffers
        admiring, cherishing, adoring
                valuable, precious
                       treasure

Down At the Park

Down at the park

no biking
no spitting
no littering
no loitering

no children
no running
no walking
no skipping

no singing
no sweating
no flipping
no picnicking

no body

P.S.

I used to live in a town where you were allowed to jog as long as you didn’t sweat. Anything perspiration-related in public was forbidden.

Bourgeoise Hippies

Bourgeoise Hippies

Littering your hallways with gold-painted plaster ?
Buddhas and empty singing bowls.
Building shrines and burning sage.
Eating leaves and teaching Yoga

Your mirrors are covered in dust.?
You drown your ignorance of compassion
In a shallow pool of consciousness.
All the while disregarding the comforts of your privilege.

Crowned In Dust

Surrounded by the darkened carnage in this valley...
Everywhere one turns and all they can see are endless
Glimpses reflections of her Babylon gasping for breath why
How be it that you cannot find, a love for all their human kind ?
What is your problem you silver spoon golden scepter worthless
Pieces of dung; littering the world with your blind mind, ignorance.

Dilly-Dally Dabbling

Listen to poem:
He dabbles in this, dips his toes in that
Dithering with daubs, splattering dollops and spatters
Dilly-dallying, loitering lazily lackadaisical
Unable or unwilling to commit.
Half-hearted efforts lie half-baked, unfinished
Laying listless, languidly lolling and littering.
It's so annoying to see time wasted and fortuity fraught
But what can anyone watching do?

Jawbone of An Ass

O to stand upon an emerald place
A see the rage on Samson's face
That handome Goliath on Israel's side
Wielding a jawbone for stolen bride
What a picture of the rasta dread
What an elation over wicked dead
Littering like fallen leaves the fallowed
Land, shaken down to earth by hallowed
Hand. For here today where asses bray
There own jawbones could put them away.

A Place Without Meaning

If emotion didn't exist, would life mean the same
Would education, drugs, or games be around
Wars, religion, or maybe even fame
Speakers from a television ever uttered a sound
Or would we live in a place without meaning

Boxes littering the streets, would they be occupied?
Would homes and Cities be teaming,
Or would life itself be simplified
A place without meaning

He Fancies

I was scolded for littering an orange peel.
I and this couch and an iguana melt.
I am longing for things to be more than real.

She blushes like a child in an autumn fog.
She bleats to scare winter from the ridge of her nostrils.
She grows like a berrypatch in moonlight, after the thaw.

He is my friend’s iguana there.
He looks comfy on the couch.
He only wants to feel good.

Fragments of Shell

Tossed upon blank beaches
like men without souls,
shell fragments littering the sand.
Each broken shell once could sing
lyrics lilting of glories past,
tales spun in Dresden colors,
soft, shimmering memories -
blissful days beneath shining seas.

In broken men who walk the earth,
vignettes I view . . .
shattered beauty every one.

Sundrops

Sundrops dapple umbrageous trees strewing uncut diamonds, littering the path with ambient flickers of what lies beyond. Sundrops freckle ocean's surface accenting the ripples that pattern the waves, nuzzling playful kisses toward the warm beach. Sundrops seduce the wayward wind pirouetting with the aphids blissful dance, a frenzied tarantella across my lips.

Cherish 06-10-23

Though the sea is far, the wind still flies thereto.
Though the sun is set, it's rays still shine from afar.
Once submerged in the vast beauty of this world,
Yet never stopped by the mundane rocks
I held in my hand.

The water still runs crisp and clear from the olden days
But the bridge above has forever collapsed.
Blossoms fall, littering the surface,
The empty tree stands, a timeless guard.

Miss Understood

I've become
 abstract
 they dont understand
 anymore

my vague dreams
 and a reality of mediocrity
 bleed into one

the veils slipped
 and I glimpsed midnight
I watched as each pale fell
and a god whispered come near

I've changed my dress
 to hide growing scars
 littering the landscape
 of my entwined limbs

scattered from here
 to neverwas, I am lost
 alone and so afraid
 and misunderstood again
