My aunt was chomping at the bit to read my poems
I was not enthusiastic about it because some were about her
And not terribly flattering

She would not let up so I finally shared my site and my pen name
I held my breath as I watched her land at the one that was all her
Oh, I despise these kinds of people she said.

Vindicated through her non-recognition of herself,
I gave a loud low sigh of relief....

i’m not watching
his throbbing pain
too hard to bear
his tears tug at my heart

his body twitches
into aching spasm
from stabbing stinging 
throbbing ache
refusing to let up

can’t lift a finger
to slash his anguish
i see him tortured
it breaks my heart

To finally wake up from this dream

Just screaming and wanting to be free

In trying to do the right thing
When through time it will ring
They will gang up on you in the end
Leaving you alone to defend

So you are left all alone
With all of perception gone
And wanting to know what’s right
Are you just too tired to fight.

"I'll be so glad when winter's gone"
When it was warm with so much rain,
I complained, "I can't mow my lawn!"

The rain let up one sunny day
I said, "This heat is hard to take!"
It seems one way or the other
"I just can't seem to get a break"

Listen for, my climate crabs call
Ironic I say much about

They are barking their heads off
