Does Love Exist
As I write my emotions
I may not shed a blood tear
What happens when u get tired of trying
But with love pain won't let up or disappears
One may wonder
Does love exist...

Get ready for the ride of your life
ask and you shall receive
sit back and feel the warmth of the fire
or dance at the edge of the ocean
love like you have one minute left
incinerate the fear like a phoenix
never let up, pour on the gasoline
each moment is yours to take....

The Retiring Professor: First Lines
“Seventy-four is about apology,” said Ferdy.
“Well apology and memory.
If you have literary pretensions, it's about
apology and narrative.”

Ferdy's class sat there dumfounded.
This was a little different from the usual class.
“The only question left is
how much apology is needed? when can one let up?”...

Premium Member Let Me Read Your Poems She Said
My aunt was chomping at the bit to read my poems
I was not enthusiastic about it because some were about her
And not terribly flattering

She would not let up so I finally shared my site and my pen name
I held my breath as I watched her land at the one that was all her
Oh, I despise these kinds of people she said.

Vindicated through her non-recognition of herself,
I gave a loud low sigh of relief....

Premium Member At His Side
he winces
when he thinks
i’m not watching
his throbbing pain
too hard to bear
his tears tug at my heart

his body twitches
into aching spasm
from stabbing stinging
throbbing ache
refusing to let up

can’t lift a finger
to slash his anguish
i see him tortured
it breaks my heart

Scream Therapy
Sometimes I just want to scream
To finally wake up from this dream
That doesn’t let up on me
Just screaming and wanting to be free

In trying to do the right thing
When through time it will ring
They will gang up on you in the end
Leaving you alone to defend

So you are left all alone
With all of perception gone
And wanting to know what’s right
Are you just too tired to fight.

My Climate Crabs Call
When cold out, I was heard to say,
"I'll be so glad when winter's gone"
When it was warm with so much rain,
I complained, "I can't mow my lawn!"

The rain let up one sunny day
I said, "This heat is hard to take!"
It seems one way or the other
"I just can't seem to get a break"

If the weather should change again
Listen for, my climate crabs call
Ironic I say much about
That which, I have no say at all!...

Awake Around the Clock
R-ound the clock still awake,
O-ctober thirteenth day, ;
S-leeping not at night,
E-ven beneath the ray.
M-oving around the clock,
A-wake for every moment;
R-elaxing not night and day,
I-t's a twenty-four hour
E-vent.

O-n going without cessation,
N-o let-up finding the luck;
D-enying to heed the time,
A-wake around the clock.
L-ooking to be aware,
O-n guard for the flock;
S-alvation is for the alert,
A-wake around the clock....

Little baby, little baby, rock to sound sleep. Let up say a prayer of thanks that you are ours to keep.

We've waited many days to see your shinning face and now that you are here your heart warms this place.

Soon your room will all be filled with balls, trains, and planes. Suddenly candyland and hide and seek will be your favorite games.

We love everything about you Nathan beginning from head to toe. For God the Father has blessed us with a perfect gift you know....

Premium Member Haha Running In Circles
My two dogs are having a cow
Because of all the firework noises that are going on
They are barking their heads off
Haha
I think I am going to have to put some earplugs on them
They are looking at me with their heads cocked to one side
As if asking me
Well, Fifi and Napoleon
It’s your welcoming pop to test your hearing
To make sure you are up for the job
Which is protecting me, you hear?
Lol
They wouldn’t let up
They are going to be barking another day
Tomorrow
Ha...
