A King

You can't be king
Until you have been
Taught to hurt
Lectured to steal
Tutored to kill
Skilled to heal.

Premium Member Class Should Be
Class
should be stimulating and fun
a place where students get things done
  not soporific
  just -- terrific!

     Class
should let students explore
the universe of knowledge
more ... and more ... and more
Not sit and be lectured to
  By some self-appointed guru...

Lectured Over
lectured
over
one
thing or
another
never
seemed
to be
pleased
no matter
how
hard one
tried
blamed for
actions
blamed for
in-actions
guilt trip placed
upon the heart
no matter what
was said or done
to try and remedy
the perceived
current state
of affairs...

Premium Member Ask Twice For Ice
At lunch, I wanted a simple iced tea
But a tea with ice was not meant to be
The glass, smoothly tall
Held no cubes at all
Where all my ice went, was a mystery!

The waitress (who was not very nice)
Lectured, my request was imprecise
You must specify
For ice to supply
Next time, order your iced tea with ice!

8/3/19...

Hope
Amidst a wealth of hate,
I cursed he dat made me wait.
For life had taken it all away...
Leaving me to be led astray.
Nature lectured me once again,
Reminding me of life's one gift,
A force that still drove life.
Grace remained strong in me
Lifting me up to see a brighter picture,
Awakening a power that couldn't be matched...Awakening HOPE....

As POTUS he fled from Afghanistan
abandoning our troops in the sand

As VEEP he kowtowed to the Mullahs
sent billions to the sponsors of Hamas and Hezbollah

In Jerusalem today he lectured the Jews
when fighting a war for survival what to do

   Israelis listened politely, perfunctorily clapped
wishing the POTUS would go take a nap...

Moon
The train headed for the moon.
Despair was a station
where love stood in attention.

I need to be lectured
more on the need for vitamins
than on testaments.

Where did they go?
Here is the moon.
A moon a day keeps despair away.
Don’t moan on a hartal day.

Note: Hartal is a general closure usually imposed in India by political parties as a mark of protest against the government....

Premium Member The Druggie Down the Street
The “Druggie” Down The Street By: Miracle Man 4/21/2022 Oft times the thoughts he’d have caused him to fret, and he’d sit ‘mongst wandering thoughts in deep regret. But things long since passed he could not change, so facts of these occurrences he’d always rearrange. I lectured him on truthfulness and then he’d never later deny, the response I got was, “I guess some people just like to lie”

Sometimes looking back
can be step forward --
being certain of where not
to return -- paths of experience
already traveled. Grass-less ruts
heavily trafficked by self and
loser others -- I search for detours,
missed games of chance --

though lectured long and wide
on the pitfalls of gambling...God,
our perfect example!~ His life
and death wager of Free Will...

What greater stake than a Soul?

Each of us given one Gambit
of Time!?...

Jung lectured of dogma
its strangling of the symbol
the Medieval melted with magma
doubt was born, its smile twinkled
As monks wrote songs of Poliphile

Seeking soul from the external
in the Enlightened world,
nothing seems to be real
For eons our ancestors
were certain of the eternal

Is the light worth its weight?
Pain now lifted by pharmaceuticals
A flock who just can't walk straight
Now we live in plight or we are
simply deemed neurotypical.....

Let Go
The time spent is beyond beautiful
Though it's sometimes never resourceful
Hoping it not to be a calamitous rendition
Since we come together without a single intention

It's time to let go
Focus my thoughts on achieving my goal
Having the incite its not going to be easy
Giving zero tolerance to idleness always want to be busy

Experience lectured me in a hard way
Given no chance to smile for a single day
Making correct my very BUT
Shedding off the garment covered with dot...
