Jostle Divide
You jostle with me hard,
with the wanted object in between,
three things can happen,
you get it,
I get it,
or it tears somewhere,
then why jostle,
lets divide,
and go to our sides....

Disco ball of memories jostle for attention.
An oak tree of a man encasing:
Sunflower children's smiles and bear hugs
Dancing around the room forevermore...
Every piece of you, given so freely,
Now lives eternally......

Step By Step
With each step that I take,
  words jostle and form

Inside me they cluster
  deep down where it’s warm

At nighttime they visit
  in moments of peace

Defining my feelings
  —extending my reach

Energy orbs jostle for attention
Observation is our meditation
Cessation too, vibrant celebration

Vast All-ness beholds such-ness
This-ness too, one with oneness
So if they wish, let nodes stir
Even as boundaries blur

Didactic Time
I lose track of time and
I lose track of myself. In
the crowded streets I
constantly check my watch
to ground myself in reality.

I jostle my way through the
crowd and find my watch
missing. I panic and hail
a cab. I leave it all behind
in didactic Times Square....

Whole
...for Virginia Woolf

Submerged 'neath the surface,
stones weighting her body,
gremlins and goblins
are hobbling her soul.

Images jar,
and memories jostle,
her compass is gone
but she's in full control.

Lungs overflowing,
her faculties failing,
she's one with the fishes,
at last she is whole....

...for Virginia

Floating under the surface,
stones weighting her body,
gremlins and goblins
are hobbling her soul.

Images jar,
memories jostle,
her compass is gone
yet she's in full control.

Full to o'erflowing,
her faculties failing,
she's one with the fishes,
at last she is whole....

...for Virginia

Floating under the surface,
stones weighting her body,
gremlins and goblins
are hobbling her soul.

Images jar,
and memories jostle,
her compass is broken,
she's out of control.

She's full to o'erflowing,
her faculties failing,
she's one with the fishes,
she's found her way home....

I Am 00man
Fingers tangling dry strands
Jostle soft fleshes with pained puffs
Dipping tar suffocating airways
Wrenching fabrics carving curses onto corpuscle
Taking
Pulling
Grabbing
Pushing
Stabbing
Shoving
Reducing into a pile of nothing
Ridiculed into a lump of worthless
Rejected into a mass of hollow
Remorse into a jumble of Woman....

Buttercup,daisy and cowslip
Together mix in fellowship;
Swaying pelts of grasses fine
Bask in Spring sunshine.

Purple vetch,ribwort plaintain
Jostle lush clover in English rain;
Scalious,burnets protude,
Butterflies gorge their pollen food.

Hawthorn dense and tough
Amidst sweet scented woodruff;
In rambled briar sprawl
Prickly and wandering tall....

Jostle
So I became so silent
I could no longer hear

Be bright my city of tears

I grew so tiny in all of my ways
I could no longer reach myself

Be brave my state of sake

So I became so simple at ease
When I could no longer live among the drowned

Be blessed my might of sea

Is when I became so calm
I could no longer live awake

Be patient my need of peace...

Pale Daughters 4
Pale daughters wash between their ears
always requiring a shine
playing chicken
They ignore the red traffic lights
claiming they want a real life

A life without jewels
They jostle for manufactured joys
Tempus Fugit
How they age disgracefully
hollow like a shell
They gain your trust
then play cat and mouse
Viva la difference in reverse
they are only harvesters of
an autumnaless garden...

The Drowning
The ancient war is on.
You kill,
or get killed.

Do not jostle.
You were sinking in quicksand
taking on the depth.

In exile, you
wanted the remains of
a brilliant moon, after it was possessed.

The poet will find
the jungle, standing quietly
after the execution, was stayed.

Between the witness
and accused, the judge will not
reverse, the slant of the truth.

Comparing Youth
Whilst in ones youth, I beg to question,
Why twice ten years sums darkly fossil,
If numbered twenty from conception,
Whilst in ones youth.

Immortal years, weaned blindly hostile,
Demanding half and whole apart as one,
Until twice twenty, rears itself colossal.

Twice again, steers an Elysian direction,
A course prepaid, far too late to jostle,
Time is never subject to dissection,
Whilst in ones youth....

My soles trod the Earth
while souls reach for Sky.
I wonder Why
we race toward death from birth

never to upturn, headstand,
jostle the view, eyes low and

walk the Sky.
For feet, too have soles.
walk the Sky
turn It All on its head,
coax the World to switch her poles
and if she won't, well try instead

walk the Sky.
Give up your precious 'self control'
walk the Sky.
Let go of 'you' and now be Whole....

The music
               of silence
calms
my mind
                 my
                 thoughts
trickle-down
                     bubbling
                      over
the rocks
of experience
                      Waves
of imagination

Burlap and Satin Rewind
I’m awake by 6:00.
While stars shimmer
I jostle my husband
Who sleeps soundly
Upon dampened sheets.

Tom is burlap
While I am satin.
Wishing myself out
Of my cartoon pajamas
I struggle lifting his
Aged body from his bed.

My back aches
While I dress Tom
Thinking of those satin
Tahitian nights and
Playful lagoon floating
Over conch shells
With my handsome
Burlap man.

Slideshow memories
Of Satin and Burlap
Times stamped in my
Young 70-year old mind....

In Costco
In Costco; crowds jostle
carts nudge.

Trying to be invisible.

An acquaintance recognizes me,
asks: ‘how am I doing?'
I reply, I don’t like the color purple,

quickly move on.

Outside, a bleak sky hovers
as if it had nowhere else to go.
A belligerent Santa shakes
a plastic bucket under my nose.

I used to be able to wiggle my ears –
that’s just a fact. Not bragging.

Driving home, I ask myself how I’m doing?

I definitely need
to consider that one day....
