Cutting Edge Lens Technology
My son just bought the most amazing camera
With super fast shutter speed, “on the edge of the cut”
And when he photographed my wife and I
He managed to snap her with her mouth shut...

The Kiss
THE RED RUBIE LIPS
HOW I WAITED FOR THIS DAY TO COME
LIPS OF A CUTTING EDGE OF A SWORD
EYES CLOSED, THE HEART FEARS
THE MIND INTOXICATED, THE
TICKLISH SENSATION.IF I COULD
I WOULD BUT ONLY TO GO
BACK FOR THAT
 FIRST KISS

Spoken Words
They pierce into the lives
Of the people
Deep into the Heart
Mind and Soul
A One Way
Not to be returned
In other ways
They tragically unfold

More powerful
Than any emotion
More abrasive
Than a cutting edge
Words can pierce
At a very high speed
If not careful
To what is said...

Haunted
The pointed tip of a knife in a balancing act?
Sharpened on the cutting edge waits on his finger,
Playing with time as the butcher looks on undecided,
When his next prey will come to challenge this fine blade.

Ages have gone by since it tasted blood in this house,
Possessed by ghost man and his ever present knife....

I
Obsess
Over you.
Thoughts are like knives
Stabbing at my brain,
Killing me; thought by thought,
My consuming mania!
I need to crawl out of my skin
To get away from the cutting edge
Before switchblade thoughts of you do me in.

Wandering Souls
Wandering human beings each
Enslaved by personally true doctrines of the existence or
Inescapably twisted with the nonexistence of the Existing One
Rampantly whirls around to face thousands of destinies all in one:
Death in color: paganism, science cutting edge, madness, and suicide.

The cutting edge of Fall
Shears the leaves from trees,
Exposing them as ramrod tall
Soldiers soon to freeze.

These warriors of wood
Battle with the gale
Defiantly they’re braced, and should
Be, when Fall-winds wail.

Are we as brave as well?
How will we bear the burn
Of winter’s sleeted, bone-chilled hell?
Trees, help us learn....

Be the Cutting Edge
Don't panic when things turn topsy turvy
Don't freeze when the tables flip over hopelessly
Focus on the One with all the answers
The Wonderful Counselor up above
He will give you the strength to be brave
And the wisdom to be the problem solver
For with His counsel comes victory
And His glory will be revealed
To be the cutting-edge and bring hope to many....

Premium Member Thought We Were Modern In 70s
In the seventies we thought we were modern
Utmost chic, sassy, on the cutting edge.
With our bell bottom slacks
And our bell sleeved shirts and dresses
Perhaps we were.
Everyone had the same pattern.
It was fun to see which fabrics others would select.
Paisleys and florals were vividly popular!
The polka dotted fabrics stayed back in the fifties.
But stripes were definitely a choice....

Oh! This eternal, infernal lockdown
I want to strike out, in ill-natured rebellion,
but all I can do is grip at shapeless hope.

I’m free to dream, of course, and I dream
my fill - I’ve become a dreamaholic.

My omnifarious dreams are deliberate,
whimsical, vengeful, hopeful - they even
tiptoe love's erotic, cutting edge but reality
soon returns - stealthy as a parent -
to induce dark, ordered boredom....

Cutting Edge
The rocks in water
like words, between
the tears.
Quasi-pain, reverberating
like a river.

It flows?
intermittently. The lava
of an active volcano.
You want to cover
the smashed skull.

The mirror
breaks, under the shock.
It had never happened before.
A nude streaking
on the screen.

The moon had nothing
to offer. Over and spent.
It moves on its axis
ungoverning?
the stars.

Approximately
ripening on the tree
loosing erection
the redeemer comes back to orphanage

for the biggest fraud of times
we are playing with each other
hide and seek

cutting edge I plant
chrysanthemums in my esplanade
at least they give company

you know gold plus
flowers make a very potent elixir
cold-blooded sure to melt a steel

through knobs you enter
the laughing eyes would you
mind to take off the extra wrinkles

Congressional Cacophony Written: by Tom Wright 8-30-2019 Politicians think they’re “The Cutting Edge,” Into mere cacophony their words are turning. “Taken out of context” is their primary hedge, Believing constituents to not be discerning. But in the face of truth their word often flies, Preaching “transparency” as it applies to others. While unto themselves this seldom applies, Being equally spread would be my druthers.

The Cutting Edge of Reason
The night is truly coming down
Life blood flowing
Against the stainless steel
Reverberating
Echoes of pain
Shower my being
Cannot stop
The black abyss of
Hopelessness
As the river runs red I wonder
Will this wounding
Turn my story around or
Will it be the same
So I continue calling
To no one there
"Let me out-let my soul be calm"
Still the droplets of confusion
Find their way deep into the night
They flow with a definitive rhyme
And I have my reasons...

Discretion
Discretion drives an unpredictable wedge
into sheltered, relaxed, indiscreet lives.
Its thunder designs to whet the cutting edge
of thinking which stays safely in the archive
of routine – same-o grungy words and garbage.
An effective author might sometime contrive
to create a more asphalt approach to language
where skillful articulation wants to thrive.
Virtue mixes confrontation and knowledge
smoothly with just the right pitch so tact survives.
