Iceberg
I wonder what it’s like
Inside an iceberg, lo
Ice-encased and frozen
Indigo-hued and so
Invariably cold;
I wonder if I’d be
Impressed with what’s below...

A Healthy Lifestyle
A balanced diet
Is what is planned
Which invariably
Means I understand
Something healthy
Something bland

A healthy lifestyle
Is what is planned
So a balanced diet
If I might expand
Does not involve
A pie in each hand...

Flora of Government
Like a Tuber mushroom
an Authoritarian State
thrusts myriad mycelium tendrils
in a vain attempt
to control every contingency.

Like a Fragrant fern
a Constitutional Republic
radiates spores far and wide
to invariably find
the wisest way....

Friends
Friends are the family we choose to
Rely and count on invariably
In the times we feel low and in need of
Encouragement and bringing forth
New positive energy to propel us to
Distances we dread to cover alone since
Shelter is the invaluable support they provide....

Premium Member Fashionable
When I was young
I could cut three holes
to wear a black garbage bag
as a mini-skirt over
torn fishnet pantyhose,
with fishhooks in my ears,
and I was totally-totally fashionable.

I do it now
and invariably someone asks
if I'm okay
and do I need help....

Premium Member The Dog's Song
more or less to "Ally Oop"

I like to take a dump in my mommy's back yard
(Take a dump. Take a dump.)
Sometimes it's soft, sometimes it's hard
(Take a dump. Take a dump.)
The one thing that's invariably true
(Take a dump. Take a dump.)
The best fertilizer is my poo!...

Since I do not relish spending time
with sails aloft
in Satan's choppy waters.
I will seek to lay anchor,
in the stillness
of God's sheltered cove.
As one who knows
the worth of prayer,
I choose to use each calm day,
in preparation for life's storm
that invariably will follow....

Premium Member Anger
Being betrothed to anger, a sorry wife,
Inspires words, often verbalized in haste.
Anger pilfers joy, devastating your life,
It seeks soft targets, and lays them waste.

Collateral damage invariably is found,
Even the blameless, have charge to pay.
Slain or injured ego's too oft abound,
Knowingly perished by this bedfellows fray....

My Grop To You
Being with you was so joyous
That makes me to be dense
I wonder why I'm with you always
Not to be alone all the times

My thoughts are all for you
And for mine, are all rubbish
Something may hinders you
I want that facts to vanish

It may invariably be vainly
When your grop is been waned
But I'll be there for you only
And never let thy grop vanished...

Painful paradox
Heavily guarded heart,
wearily navigating life.
Like a fugitive,
invariably primed,
for that final day,
to be discovered,
apprehended,
imprisoned eternally.
Snapping shut like a bear trap,
only able to be opened,
by the strongest of love.
The kind of which,
only transpire in dreams.
If you dare,
to let your heart free.
The most painful paradox....

Ping Had a Dollar Bill
PING HAD A DOLLAR BILL

Ping had a Dollar bill got from the king Weevil,
                 Who loved nuts, beans, almonds, millets ,peas as a meal;
                                So Ping named the king- ‘Crackpea’;

Bintu
She is a courteous little girl.
She is young and vibrant.
She is diligent and dutiful.
She is truthful in her deeds.
She is quick to listen,
She is invariably slow to speak.
She is smart at school works,
She is swift to do house chores.
She is prompt to friends' calls.
She loves wholly, her parents and neighbours.
She's her siblings' pride.

She is Bintu!...

Wit
Somewhere Shakespeare says it:
Brevity is the soul of wit.
So I tried to learn all about it.
Read so much, oh,
On how to be brief and witty.
Trained desperately to be so.
Tried to be witty in almost every party.
All that the guests had to say, invariably, was: What a pity!
So all that I’m left with now is self-pity.
I would advise you, therefore, not to try
If it isn't your cup of tea!...

Premium Member Count Your Women
I meet four women.
We laugh and talk.
Some of the stories we have heard forty times already.
We laugh anyway.
We are talking in two’s now.
Which means the fifth is completely left out.

Odd is always a “third wheel” with women, and girls.
Trouble is, no matter how hard I plan to be in pairs
Someone invariably conks out at the last second.
Leaving us an odd number again.
Making it a hard time for the wheel....

My Heart
I used to think that I was strong.
I realize now that I was wrong.

'Cause every time you walk away,
a piece of me,
goes.

I closed my eyes the moment I surrendered to you.
Let love be blind,
innocent, and tenderly
true.

Lead me not to beguiled fate.

I'll protect your uncertainty,
appreciate your worth.

Invariably.

In the mornings when you go.
Wake me gently so I'll know,
that loving you was not a dream.....

Premium Member Mask
I wear a mask,
So those about won't see.
I shelter my thoughts,
And tongue often still.
Not all things exist,
Exactly as I'd have them be.
I search mind's obscure corners,
To escape life's drill.

Why does anxiety,
Induce neck hair to stand.
While detached,
I contemplate this state of despair.
For which, responsibility,
Invariably takes leisure at my hand.
No one takes sight, save God,
Beyond this mask I wear....

Weeds
Brooding invariably brings out
long suppressed ‘thought’ seeds
to the surface, for they remain dormant,
if stay buried for many years.

The 'bosom-field', when 'dug up'
produces numerous dreadful weed,
A crop of accumulated impressions,
which, when come to the fore,
Ransack serenity and poise.

The 'weeds' must have laid
buried there since ages and,
when the subconscious is stirred,
they come to life and
become a perfect plague....

My wife 5/24/2016 Clothes and jewelry can make you look smashing, But true beauty is seen in the smile you’re flashing. Are you enchanted by how vast it is?
refreshing, rejuvenating, relaxing.

Backward Thinking Miracle Man 9/16/2024 The tranquility that so often i readily enjoy, is invariably the precursor for a coming storm. Spewing words at me to browbeat and destroy, is seldom the impetus that forces me to conform. Over the years some have tried to make me do, and more than a few have made me wish I’d done. On occasion I’ve bitten off more than I could chew, but once a fracas starts it’s too late to be undone.
