Wit

Somewhere Shakespeare says it: Brevity is the soul of wit. So I tried to learn all about it. Read so much, oh, On how to be brief and witty. Trained desperately to be so. Tried to be witty in almost every party. All that the guests had to say, invariably, was: What a pity! So all that I’m left with now is self-pity. I would advise you, therefore, not to try If it isn't your cup of tea!

Hi Ram: A great poem based on Shakespeare! He also said,"Better a witty fool than a foolish wit".

Thank you, Ralph, for your nice compliment. Well, I had Hamlet in my mind when I wrote the poem. Thanks for reminding me of Feste's words in Twelfth Night. By the way, your surname is Russian, isn't it? Ram
