Try as I may they seem to scare
At thoughts of further introspections

If they should pry their headphones high
Peruse the verse their tune relies
They just might feel the big reveal
The rhythmic zeal and fresh appeal 
Within the rants they wryly chant
 
Just maybe then all won’t be lost
They may just pick up Robert Frost...

Jagged fragments of a puerile chorus compose my fledgling thoughts.
Each shrill shard impales my soul with piercing slivers of childish inflections.
     Looped refrains of callow mantras whorl my mind in endless rounds. 
          
                                   tantrumed harmonies,
                              sung upon a splintered stage…
                                      my inner children...

Telling stories at bedtime
Silent moments of understanding
Giving out “I love you” freely
Holding me up when I’m weak

Letting me alone
All these gifts you give to me,
Like the fire in your eyes
These are my truths of life
All of these fill me with tomorrow’s desire

of wavering replies,
Immersed in memories
of
a futile time

You think in 
twisted inflections of submersed pride,
a swirl of beliefs 
engrossed in avertable rapture
 
You swing around
a fusion of disparate passions
And dictate 
an end that scarcely counts

You call me in
to tie my soul 
And cram your sins 
inside my fractured will

You pin our welded bruises
to prickling discretion
And drive them deep
as if to hide...

believing light
intuitively ignoring
wrong among right
opening eyes
projecting mercy
on evils rise
to your supreme

She gives a soul direction

The words she pens, they’re more than ink
They’re a stem of her true being
For with the words, she allows us sight
