Pain infects loss

Give Up the Ghost

There is a COVID-19 ghost
Who flits around from coast-to-coast
He loves to zoom
Around a room
To see whom he infects the most

Power Infects

Crossing all borders,
  the fever befalls

Power infectious,
 —its cure now recalled

Extremism Reflects

left looks for defects
        the right all things imperfect
             blame the weak effect
             loud verbosity inflects
           propaganda hate infects

This Violence

What place has gentleness
In a world like this?
What place has innocence?

If you find it don't tell me.

Don't tell anyone
Keep it a secret.
For I live in a world
That only knows violence
And I suspect deep down
This violence infects me too.

Wash Your Hands

It seems that no one understands
Monkeypox is not spread by glands
Just one little touch
Infects an whole bunch
Whatever you do, DON'T SHAKE HANDS!*

*Dr. Fauci says, "Sex is
not necessary, skin-to-skin
contact is!" so no more
fistbumps!

Black Ink

it starts,
a trail of nothing
but tar.

to my left,
it infects
tab,
shift,
control.

to my right,
disintegrate.

spreading its malice
home,
delete,
pause.

blocking my hindsight
and stopping me
from doing nothing
backspace,
return,

escape.
it ends.

Hate

Hate is powerful
as it tears apart
hopes and dreams

terminating love and honor
at every turn

pushing and pulling
on our minds
until we brake

cold bitter pain
that feeds the animals
ripping the skin

your anger
infects your mind
posions your heart

hate is powerful

Hot Summer Day

No one else celebrates a summer noon,
like children. They embrace it like a bouquet
of roses in their souls,
as they jump into pools of water,
splashing all over around them.
Their innocent bliss soon infects men and women,
their thoughts going down memory lane...

Bad news infects the teller

Bad news

Infects the teller..

The teller

Conveys news which

Is believed to have

Arisen in a fictitious

Past time..news

In the telling

Colored with belief

Is what is happening

And not...

"The nature of bad news infects the teller." Antony & Cleopatra (Shakespeare)

Ciao

Yellow aura in the back drop,
Dwells within the well confined prop,
Infects soft shadows in brunette;
Seduced they light up the silhouette.

Wings exposed to the sensations,
Quiver in anticipations,
Etched as feather strings of delight;
Long to fuse with this earthly sight.

Free me from all worldly bond age;
For I dream to fly in my craze.

Stalker

The uncertainty
Makes the stillness cry
The chaos more rambunctious
The fear a mad disease
That infects my life
Locks & steel
Should comfort
But they only remind me
That I am the animal now
You're the predator
And I am the prey
In a solemn metal cage
I haven't locked you out
I've imprisoned myself
Given up my own freedom
To be my stalker's slave

Lost Poem

Incorrigible
Incorrect – uncorrectable
Ideas incorporeal
Beginnings to incept
Ideology to inject
A reality too surreal to accept

An indifference that infects
A fate begins to seal
Evidence to detect
Death at the door and loss at your heels
Realization life is a wreck
Too afraid of the now, the real.
Face the charade of your situation
Face how disappointment feels

Rust

Rust.

It can deteriorate even the

Strongest...wills.

It steals the simple purity of what it

Infects

It will turn beauty into a lesser self

It will give you the illusion of strength...and then you'll fall through

It will give out
and leave
you

..without anything stable to grasp
without
hope...
There is nothing solid here
Just an

auburn facade

of such.

I Borrowed Time

I borrowed time to redeem a wish
A first, yet sadly, final kiss
A connection of primitive impulses
But nothing could prepare me for this

A rush of emotions I'd laid to rest
With no intent to resurrect
Then a simple kiss upon the neck
The gesture seeps, the kiss infects

Recalling how you made me shudder
Silent memories growing clearer
As though shot by a master photographer
And your eyes became my favourite colour

Love Spell

No curse or magic can break the spell of love,
as it infects every soul,
and everything around us.
Symptoms of a love spell is bliss,
peace of mind, and harmony
with everything around you.
It emanates from doors and windows
that are opened by the infinite realm.
Our work is not to know which door or window
the spell enters, but to open our hearts widely
when it's cast upon us from the timeless realm.....

Wild Is The Night

Only on full moon does my essence
find release,
When the blaze of moments infects
 my hunger for raw wantonness...
Gulls skitter on coastlines
 and reel overhead
Their croons heralding night's ebullience,
Until my limbs twirl unceasingly
For an endless tempo
 of wild bohemian dance.
Living in the Now,
  my body- soul races free

Like chants of untamed prayer
welcoming eve's thrill almost sublime.

Possibilities

Your laughter infects me
with a virus they can't cure;
Your love inflames me
with a fire they can't douse;
Your body fills me
with thoughts they can't erase;
Your arms surround me
like a moat they can't breach;
Your spirit lifts me
like a balloon they can't catch;
Your heart captures me
like a thief they can't set free.

They can't do much,
but with you anything is possible.

'hatred' Is the Thing With Claws

(Based off an Emily Dickenson poem)

"Hatred" is the thing with claws-
that slices through us all-
And leaves a wound without it healed-
And captured for- its thrall-

And torn- by its embrace- with pride
And infects what it leaves behind-
That love could be its mend
that keeps our hearts enshrined-

I've seen it rip and tear lives-
And play with them like prey-
Yet, never, in experience
it suppresses love with- its pain.

Despair and confusion...

devastation pain and loss...
suffering endured...

Faculty of Consciousness

Pay respects to both your elders
& the rejects

Showing hate to any person
Reflects your inner thoughts

It's best to be at rest
Think things through without acting a pest

Negativity infects the air
Around those who wish to share

Thought-waves emit from our being
While most don't believe what they are seeing

Aura's enshroud & form a cloud
Growing intensity as you read aloud
The words that surround
& can only confound if you decide
to shout...

Words

Right the message through out the halls,
Scream it at the top of your lungs.
Through the echo we hear the call,
And because of our braveness it overcomes.

I don't wanna believe the message,
But it seeps through and thickens my blood.
Like heavy baggage,
It pulls me with the flood.

But while I'm gone,
Keep spreading the words,
Keep singing the same song,
Until they're all cured.

The sentences colder than hypothermia,
That infects worse than septicemia.

Consciousness Rising

Vibrations of the universe; vibrations of the soul; the artist experiences harmonic convergence, every day. Universal mind to soul mind; the golden thread is a pipeline; through which, a god pours ideas. Soul mind to mortal hand is the translation of these. When the artist puts pen to paper, brush to canvas, chisel to wood or stone; hand to instrument or body to the dance floor; enlightenment infects, all around them.

State of Confusion

State of Confusion

No to progress
Yes to Pence
No to openness
Yes to the camps
No to socialism
Yes to the lemmings
No to healthcare
Yes to healthcare
Very confusing
However
You have the worst healthcare
That's not confusing

Someone wrote his speech
Pay attention
They do not write his tweets
Llies upon lies

Poison ivy infects the land
Everyone is scratching their heads
Some though hide in the sand
Heads buried in hatred's depth

Comrades
Wake up!
