The hordes of temptations would never scale the walls of virtue!

The race to replace
The Chosen disgrace
With bombs versus swords
They’re deaf to the hordes
So lay down your pen
It’s Never again
There was a stand-up joke maker
Whose act was a crowd shaker.
She was highly hilarious
But found to be nefarious.
Now her fans in hordes forsaker.
Black elephant in the sun
As the biblical tower of Babel
Hordes of twisted tongues
Infest width, breadth
From Ajegunle slums
To the plateaus of Jos!
hordes emerge from ground
time for piercing mating call
unique cicadas

Tainted View
A million faces, not one is yours;
A million commuters, hordes and hordes;
A million gasps, it’s him - there’s you;
But no, my millionth tainted view.
Hordes of people rushed everywhere
I took one misstep and lay there
No use wearing a frown
So, I laughed like a clown
Bowed and waltzed off without a care
When lilacs with the springtime rise
and weary hordes no longer slumber,
music from God's own guitar now flies
to cajole the misty earthen number;
begin etching the kaleidoscope of summer.
in a reckless abandon, hordes of biutterflies
float playfully about the heath on spring noon without a care;
many lovers wish their hearts could be just as free!

Glorified by the bully hordes

handsome Harry hastily harnessed hazardous hayseed Hank
heightening his hellish heebie-jeebies.
Hank helped Harry handle hordes of high-spirited hitchhikers
heaping a hodgepodge of hocus pocus on Honey,
Hannibal’s handsomest hog
Riveting hopefuls from a-
mong the
festive zombie hordes are
dreaming of
big fat juicy
humans who
might need a
little extra time to
consider just what the
hell to
do now that the
apocalypse has
finally arrived.
The rose has been raped of her beauty
Stolen by hordes of dreary lines
And to be leached further still
Until nothing remains of her
But yellowing birthday cards
And sugar-free quotes, in italics
Like a rose is like nothing at all
Mists rise above rocks below
Maid of the Mist drifts
Up to Niagara Falls
Hordes of mystic lifts.
Rainbows in the sun
Newly married couples flock
Windows for great fun.

Ravagers of Poesy,
spear points of denial
Mongol hordes of fancied verse,
spewing dense and vile
Free words they herd together,
to drive toward a cliff
Trampled once they hit the ground
—by verbal hippogriffs
(Buffalo Jump-Sheridan Wyoming: July, 2019)
I stood before the hordes
Alone with only my sword
And I waited for the fight
Having done all I might
It did not matter of the outcome
Just my stand in fighting meant I won
For there was truth behind my sword
And a faith that has its own reward.

I don’t own Uggs and never will.
I’ve heard they’re super comfy; Still,
To pay so much for something ugly,
Even if it’s warm and snuggly,
Seems to me a tad absurd,
Though fashion has the final word.
When fads appear, so do the hordes.
Abstaining has its own rewards.
Hordes of pirates march up and down the street
Demanding my Snickers Bars for a treat
Old curmudgeon that I are
They won't get my Snickers Bar
But I'll hand out carrots for them to eat

A suppurating crater
festers and gapes
in my heart
desiccated by hordes
of plunderers
who gorge on marrow
enshrouded in crevices
where love pleads
for refuge and succour
before gelid goons
controlling a pedigree
of sycophants
reframed to shield
their masters
from imagined devilry.
I sat for a meal in Kuwait
The flies came in hordes on my plate
The soup, they decided
To drink, uninvited,
Bad manners is something I hate!

There once was a lion tamer named Claude
For twenty years the cheering hordes he'd awed
He had been bitten and mauled
But the mad crowds he enthralled
Alas, Claude met his doom when he was clawed!

I ask of the desert dunes,
The stately Kilmanjaro, the
Mambilla outcrops;
I ask of the great forests
The seven old rivers
Snaking through my black
homeland;
I ask of the noble rains,
Every ancient observer;
Does it matter who built the
Old Zimbabwe
When we feed not today
Our hungry hordes?
stay docked on board,see the hordes of characters,see the verse,any worse than
this and we turn back,lack of mutual funds is crack,any attack,any walk back,any
sack of charge,any large,any bedoy,any woy,any soybean sanwich,any
camerich.tell me ma i go's south,lounge around in fat chairs,how dares ye?
A comet blazed across the evening sky
Soothsayers took up Armageddon’s cry
Suddenly the whole world went awry,
Hordes of people thought they’d die
More reasonable people gave it a try
But some said science does not apply,
And I, I gave up with a disgusting sigh.

TENACIOUS BONDS
Stashed for years in between pages now yellow
Hordes of dry brown leaves slithered out, mellow
Filling air with balmy scent and familiar rustle
of distant shores, threw immigrant couple in disarray
A call from yonder rooted in lands faraway
