A Man Named Worm
There once was a young man from the ground.
He said, "See the lovely horehound!"
It was rather much,
But not very clutch,
He couldn't say no to the homebound....

Locked In
I look outside the window,
and I hear the sparrows' songs.
I listen to nature's harmony,
and I tell myself, "be strong."

As I miss all of spring's beauty,
like a little bird homebound.
As I keep strictly my duty,
staying safe and sound....

After
After

There is nothing so quiet
As a home when all are gone
When the winds of love blow
The beloved down their homebound highway.

After the climb, the peak,
The plateau of joy and din,
There is nothing so quiet
As a home when the beloved are gone....

Home, all alone
On a snowy January day
My frozen driveway
Exceptionally cold,
Bitter cold, I’d say,
On this foul Friday
Understandably gloomy,
Never so lonely now …
Disappointing, anyhow!

Homebound
Currently homebound.

Soon to be housebound.

Joyful ramblings.

Sleepy mumblings.

Traveling by car.

Scars still settling.

My therapist is awaiting me.

Someday, the trauma will be worthwhile…

For now, let’s celebrate!

Someday I will remember…

But today I am homebound....

It’s the first Olympics on the moon,

And the crowd is all in helmets and suits.

Out walks the champion at the crack of noon,

And kicks the moon-dust from his boots.

The pole-vault is the upcoming event,

But no high bar is seen in the sky.

Aloft in a rocket module the champion went,

To his homebound spacecraft flying high....

Listen to poem:
drifting waters
abridging
drenched
pigments
of my memory
whimsically
scatter
homebound
the dyes
staining the
cold pressed
arches
of
my mind's
canvas

alone in my backyard
in total silence
seems so surreal
the humming of
homebound traffic
far in the background
while songs of birds
are all I hear
not a soul in sight
the world surely
is on pause

Listen dear heart,
To a still voice;
Silence sculpts art,
Keep a calm poise;

Watch as you learn,
Keep open mind;
See and discern,
Seek and then find;

Embrace good cheer,
For love sparks fest;
Faith and hope steer,
Your homebound quest;

Grace shows the way,
Feel how you feel;
Live well this day,
Soul now reveals.

Homebound
Desert flowers drench the roadside
Route 12 gone at high tide.
Heard they busted another one,
Fly high.
Barrel smoking like it’s on fire.
Moonshine.
Illuminate the lifeless fields.
Cherry wine.
Dripping from the cactus leaves.
Dripping from the jagged teeth
Coyote thirsty from the heat.

Rubber tires melting,
seeping through the cracked ground.
Crickets singing,
They’re drowning in the sound.
Homebound....

The raven is too hyperactive at my window pane.
Hear how noisy its wings are; was napping, now knocking knees.
Was about to turn over, with restrictions of the homebound,
As the shadows fly off tight walls, this cot, my face.
I am bothered; I am covered in ebonic feathers.
My eyes tick-tock, they’re grave, and my blue hands they are warmed by ice;
And the cuckoo visits ev’ry half hour as my flesh morphs pale green.

Who Goes There
Death,
Final escape,
Rest in Peace,
From tax collectors.
Three more steps,
Golden Gate,
"Halt!"
Reaching hands,
I cannot believe this one,
Wait,
Cannot play stupid on my part.
Biting my tongue,
Into the bleeding,
"Lord! Love my country, but..."
They never take a slumber wink.
"Go forth, love ones remain behind, they can pick up the tab."
Mixed weeping,
Joyful Homebound,
Praying for family members as I enter Pasadise....

One thought sparks clear
Live with good cheer

The way feels rough
Learn to be tough

The trip you take
Can make or break

Set your mind well
Heart knows the spell

Love comes to call
Rise as you fall

Be beyond fear
For hope sparks clear

When loss comes round
Seek poise profound

Life is a game
Cast away blame

For in the end
Your homebound trend

Homebound
Here they sat
Detached from reality
 evoking their stagnant passion
Calling to mind the scattered emotion
reliving the certain days
Of lively jabs
Gathering of glee
And resounding vibes
Alas the cloak falls
The chiming stops
The wheels is clog
The wind is dumb
The zeal is numb
Sure feet approaches
The still minds
Echoing from the distance
The bellowing wind
That would waft away
The stilled one
With a leafy branch
Homebound...

My Doll
MY DOLL - A POEM

Waiting behind the closed doors
My dearest smiles at me
My tired soul lights up again
I hold my doll with glee

‘Dolls’ for kids’, teases this world
My Doll cries or laughs with me
With it, can I ever get old

Mind filled with guilt as
I keep My Doll homebound
My Doll never complains or cribs
For me, my Doll is always around

Friends or kin come and go
Down in the dumps, I find solace
in my Doll, makes me forget my woes...
