21st Century Nursery Rhymes # 109
There was a little girl,
Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
No one was to tease

Mrs. Brown You'Ve Got a Lovely Jewel There!!
Mrs. Brown you've got a lovely jewel there,
Jewels like her are something rare...
She can't disguise it,
Ruby's red eyes show "blues" in it,

Fred, you wanna add the refrain?
Don't worry about Herman & pals-
They're all hermit crabs now-a-days....

one more thing the guy said
she has no hair
herman was stunned.
what?

she doesn’t believe in it.
she thinks it makes women vain.
she shaves her off. Okay, Herman says.

not wanting to meet her at all.
wishing he had not agreed to a blind date
until he sees her eyes.
kindest hazel he has ever seen....

I Turn In Silence
Poem inspired by Dutch Poet, Herman Gorter

"ever royal and keen"
this shadowed walk
sends an obscene scene
as the world balks

echoing unending
showers of insolence
with no mending
of man's dissidence

I arise silently,
turn in quietude
from the violently
impudent multitude

Goodbye Gwynne
(Dedicated to Fred Gwynne who died July 2, 1993. He starred as Herman
Munster.)

You had bolts in your neck and a flat head.
Your skin was green and you were undead.
When people saw you, they screamed and ran.
You were very funny and you were also a scary man.
I loved to see you frighten people and make them flee.
But sadly the world lost you in July of 1993....

Those Who Others Wives Eye
Those who others wives eye
Aren't ready to say 'why'?:
When they do,package 'lie'
They give colourful dress
And remember to press:
"Has got nose of Grandma,
Who loved to read prima!"

They soonest away fly,
Who would others'wives eye:
No other option try,
If it'd end up in a mess,
Down drag him more or less;
Herman out for long stress...

A full stop not comma
To acts flawed by karma....

Premium Member Frankenstein
Abused and abandoned it's so clear
From the streets he did appear
Obvious, it's trust that cower him in fear
Herman no Frankenstein's monster is he
Just a puppy with wants and needs
Gentle this little giant, causing hearts to bleed
Black eyes of ebony from which his soul you can see
As like fleece his golden hair matted and snarled everywhere
Fond over is he by those with empathy
Lucky, was I when he chose me...

Premium Member Cyclical Dance of the Cousins
Dorrie Ann left Herman again.
It happens on a cyclical schedule.
October, January, April and July.
A quad-yearly thing.
We cousins take her in.
Knowing in a day or two Herman will show up.
Sweet, with candies and maybe flowers.
He will sweet talk her back home
because he is tired of frozen food.
Dorrie Ann could be annoying after the
second day but none of us know this because
Herman’s pattern is cyclical too....

Premium Member Mourning the Passing of Herman Wouk
An old-fashioned modern Jew
  He was brilliant, unique
Weaving the strands of tradition
  Into best-selling novels sleek

A Navy man, aboard a WW2 mine-sweep
Mr. Wouk loved letters, his country, and
Talmudic wisdom, from which his works drew deep

Herman Wouk, the prolific novelist and
lifelong student of the Talmud, has
passed on to his Maker today, at the
tender age of 103. May he rest in peace......

Herman goes to pay the girl let's out a scream
