Helicopters Crash
Micromanaged children
  in a micromanaged world

The I’s all dotted, T’s all crossed
  lost within the swirl

Each cup seemed overflowing
  empty spaces void and null

All time and place for life’s surprise
  —now victim to its toll

Toys
I like cars, trucks,
and shiny airplanes.
I like helicopters, buses,
and locomotive trains.

I like lions, zebras,
and elephants too!
I like rhinos, hippos,
and giraffes are cool.

I like guitars, drums,
and all my toys!
I love playing and pretending,
like most little boys!...

Cageless Zoo Animals.....
In the Rockies the Wolf returns
in numbers greater than expected
exceeding the comfort zone of mankind
population control with controlled hunts
from the flying heights of helicopters

Who is more of a threat to the natural order?
weapons of control through mass slaughter
the world zoo without the cage..........

Waiting At Pier 11
Helicopters hover;
Boats bounce on the waves.
Seagulls swoop and pigeons strut;
A toddler misbehaves.

Tourists take their selfies;
Cars in traffic crawl.
New construction blocks the sky
With buildings thin and tall.

Water laps the pilings;
Clouds conceal the sun.
Another session waiting
For the ferry has begun....

The Black Helicopters
not even a shift in the night
or a bass chuka-chuka;

they will darken the humble sellers
of shrunken, dusty oranges

maybe a bad mouth,yellow teeth,
passed words to the birdmen

to crack open the sky,
a black walnut, half-brained

a ball of string,the smell of fire,
bags of sudden song,burnt shout of

hot and hot and hot;
nothing to put back together...

Are They Coming
Our hopes and anticipation
 Rise when we see
 The trucks and helicopters from United Nations
 Approaching our village that is merry
 Tonight we will sleep on full bellies
 The elders rush to the gate
 We rush to our huts
 To get our sacks

 But the elders meet us with despair
 On their faces and our excitement changes
 To gloom and hope the heavens may
 Smile and save us today...

My dad keeps the lights on.

I love the sound of helicopters,
flying along their patrol routes:

Back and forth,
back and forth;

Sirens blaring at the edge of awareness,
I hope they aren't coming for me:

We are calm,
you stay calm;

Rifle rounds fired in the distance,
mowing the lawn twice a week:

Back and forth,
back and forth;

My dad keeps the lights on....

World Up Above
We are down on the ground
Our feet are down on the ground
Our minds never reach the sky
They too, are on the ground

We have tried to reach the world up above
Rockets, airplanes, helicopters
They would never have reached it
They too, are on the ground

What no one truly understands
Is that the world up above
Isn't in the sky
It is merely in our minds

Helicopters
Helicopters dot the sky
Like dragonflies, but louder.
I wonder if the insect world
Sees them and feels much prouder.

For how their rumbles fill the air,
Attracting much attention,
Although their engineers would claim
That wasn’t their intention.

Still, I prefer the gentle buzz
Of wings to their propellers.
(Except for stinging insects –
I’ve no fondness for those fellers!)...

Premium Member Please Pray
Please pray. There is a wild fire less than a mile from my house. 5 towns have responded and helicopters and planes. I see lots of smoke. My bear poem about young bear without mother may be due to losing mother. It is steep terrain and mountains are full of smoke to trees near my house. It is windy some and all forest. No rain until 5 am.

I would appreciate prayers. Thank you.

Poetic Parallels
two sijo

Take note of the resemblance between maple seeds and tadpoles?
Ideas spin round like maple seeds seeking a spot to sprout;
our minds are small ponds where agile tadpoles (like thoughts) mature.

Takes about fourteen weeks, but polliwogs will become frogs;
"Helicopters" become trees after many, many years
but ideas become poems, sometimes within minutes.

Curtain
Ah, you are attributing virtues to the wrong things.
The touch and kiss of the past are no more,
The bedroom curtain protects nothing,
Helicopters are not dragonflies,
The lights that trace the sky spew blood.
Why don't you put your shoes?
Why don't you get up and go look
The sinister candlestick of the stars,
The compact fog that hides the truth
And the ruined street, open in pain....

Take Two and Call Me In the Morning
Poetic Terrorist- flagrant Errorist!
While all I write feels meritless
And all I do seems perilous!
Chalk it up to being careless...

My Heart, my Mind- about to burst!
Born, was I, a Soul accursed...
A million wounds I have nursed
Still I feel always the worse

Send helicopters full of doctors-
Tell me, what is their diagnosis?
Oh! the Tests conclude I'm awkward!
(What a bleak and poor prognosis!)

4th World
Armed by the 4th world
Night is shaded into wedding dress white
Within the the walls of the city of sin
Helicopters flood the sky resonating sound
Warning those underground
The end is nigh kiss your future goodbye
As the man is creeping towards the door
Calculating your credit score
Welcome to world war 4
They have sealed every exit door
In order to cattle the poor
But it wont stop the revolution of this I am sure...

No choice do I have
To save anything
I have loved....

In twilights last gleaming
Rockets were bursting
No flag was flying

Just last words
Of the dying
And helicopters flying

To save the few
In mornings glow
We held the line...

At the cost of our souls
We held the line
Never knowing....

That years from now
In silence we died
That day as well.

Alone I sit in as house
I've built for no one
To enjoy.......

The Water Pours
Take it from me, the rain is bored.
Seconds later, the rain would pour.
A rainstorm.

Approaching, lightning and thunder.
We Followed with awe and wonder.
Streets rainwashed.

Cars tried to run and would stall out.
People stranded and others scout.
Deep raindrops.

Rescue operations took place.
Helicopters came in with grace.
Strong rainbands.

The clouds for good.
Colors above were understood.
A rainbow....
