Premium Member Flake It Till You Make It
a tender flake
his mind melting fast
do you think he's half baked

Mr Pathetic
I'm talking to you
mr pathetic
you dopey
half-baked
imbecile
every time you say
a word
i'm about to throw up
from your moronic
dumb-ass
pointless
ideas
go to school
and educate yourself
you
bugged-out
and retarded
brainless......

Premium Member The Body Deteriorates
When I was younger, had no idea how the body deteriorates As much as we try with exercise, we still come out half-baked It could be worse To describe this curse But at the moment to me, that perfect word escapes

Recipe
one cup questions
two tablespoons of faith
three teaspoons of love
a smidgen of heartbreak
one part truth
sift out the lies
stir the feeling
a tear from my eye
set the oven
see what it makes
when it is done
it is still half baked...

Premium Member Half a Loaf
A cup of tea
    half-hot, half-cold
      doesn't sit well with me

  A loaf of bread
    half-dough, half-baked
      instant tummy ache

  A couple of buns
    one firm and round
      the other

                   shunned...

Silver and gold
Silver and gold
Shiny new jewelry
Or vintage so old

Earrings, bracelets, charms and such
I like all of my jewelry, so very much

Some are real, others are fake.
Some are priceless, others half-baked.
Silver and gold, silver and gold.
I wear them daily, though I am old....

Can you lend me some money?
Any amount will do.
Sometimes we all can use a break.
Help a brother out with some bread!

Four Letter words and Acrostic challenge contest.
Wrote a second one because my word was not on
the list. Good thing I read the instructions *lol*.

My original title was "Half Baked"...

Premium Member Dilly-Dally Dabbling
Listen to poem:
He dabbles in this, dips his toes in that
Dithering with daubs, splattering dollops and spatters
Dilly-dallying, loitering lazily lackadaisical
Unable or unwilling to commit.
Half-hearted efforts lie half-baked, unfinished
Laying listless, languidly lolling and littering.
It's so annoying to see time wasted and fortuity fraught
But what can anyone watching do?...

Premium Member Drifting
Citrus hints of lemon and lime
Chewing on endless nuisance
Depth of a refillable hole dug
Mountain of trance unscalable

Footsteps dissolve into echoes
Swallowed by sharp currents
Through mist of fractured days
Incoherence sways in the breeze

Hands reach but never interlock
Notes fading over looping time
A story written but half baked
Lost in space between moments

Premium Member Captured Moment
On a warm summer evening
as stillness settles on the turquoise lake
a solitary golden tree stands
expanding it's arms outward
the trees on the shoreline remain
still coated and covered in green
not wanting to change with the season
the golden leaves visual
on the smooth surface of the lake
reflecting like a half baked sun
a round glowing golden figure
nature's beauty captured
is a photographers dream.

once dyslexic
Letters were mad hat interlopers
I cannot decipher them
Eeties at Hoppies
was my diction for
Sweets at Shops
when i was four
Its hard being a dyslexic
Oh boy I feel so out of it
with my younger sisters
picking it up so easily
I eagerly learnt new words by sound alone
but sometimes I miscued
I felt half baked
but my love of History became my bastion
Orally laid down by my Father
I had something to boast
to my peers about

The Hunger Continues
cannabis creates crazy cerebral connections

hunger for hallucination
habit forming high

medical marijuana
motor skills impaired
minor memory lapses,

sweet smoke signals
schizophrenic symptoms
sensory side effects

half-baked hour under the influence,
tornadoes threaten, walking in the woods,
drinking from the ditches
painting pictures

My Lecturer
A man of high quality
A man of the people
A pioneer of borrowed language
A man of bombastic projectiles
One with pride
And boastful charisma

Run-on-lines never cease
To exist in his speeches
Off-points are his best friends
Over-speeding is his motto
I don't care attitude is his logo
An idiot of no imagination
A half-baked speedy typewriter in human form
A pimple-faced nymph
Manufacturer of words
A man of brilliance
And excellence
He was my lecturer....

Half Baked Scholar
Representation of thoughts
Is now in demand
By the so-called scholars
Intelligent in nothing particular.

To debate is their skill
With no proper evidence
Just to brag and brag so hard
In the end, to shout for the win.

This is the condition
Of this fellow intellectuals
Complete half in knowledge
Need much to be acknowledge

They lead the society
Create the true disparity
The more they use the brain
'Half baked scholars' take us in vain.

Who Are You
Who are you?
 You who are:

    Half Baked
 Half Crocked
         and
 Half Cracked

    Unscrewed
       Unzipped
         and
     Unleashed

 Who are you?
 You who are:

            Baked
         Crocked
          and
         Cracked

         Screwed
            Zipped
           and
         Leashed

      Or are you?
   You who are:

                 Just
          Plain Old
             Screwy
                    To
                    Me...

That Kind of Love
Love is not one-quarter note
It's a violin concerto set on fire
Played to a table for two
It’s not half-assed
Or half-baked
It’s the 3 inches thick
finger licking frosting
with a cherry on top of my cake
It's full tilt
Take a chance
Raw
Messy
Hard
Bend over backwards
Give it all you’ve got
Show me the damn cards
Risk layin' um down
Win or lose
Dare to feel alive
Put your heart in gear and drive
sort of love…
Yeah, that kind
