Premium Member Weighward

As a follower, I am devout,
But my diet is still going South!
I weigh up the cheese,
A little less, please;
Chop it off; put that bit in my mouth.

Nipple Love

It’s not that her full breasts were both going South, but they were also going East and West. Nevertheless I loved them both, equally.

Premium Member Two Hundred and Seventy Degrees To the Left

as I got older
my brain started going south
so I rotated my bed
two hundred and seventy degrees
to the left
going west towards California
now I feel younger, more alert,
more liberal and free

Premium Member What I See In the Sky

I 'm a sky watcher
I see puffy clouds
Some clouds are in half
To join the other clouds
Making a whole heart shapes
So pretty to see

Then I see the geese
Flying in their flight
A formation of a V
They are honking
As they are flying
They are going south

Animal Spirit Guide

My animal spirit guide the Wolf
Oh guide me as I go through this journey
Going through summer in these challenging moments

Going South
Finding out if my path is correct
Going through my past flashbacks

Follow me through night till day
Never leave my side
Never let go of me

Till the moon shines at night

Premium Member Want Tocome?

I’m going to follow the birds
And the monarch butterflies
My suitcase is packed and ready
I’m going south…..

I want to lie on a lonely beach
And watch the waves repeat
Let my mind wander..or not
I’m going south….

Touched by the morning sun
Listen to the wind in the palms
While my cares stay at home
I’m going south…

Premium Member Nothing Like Ice Chewing

Chewing is my favorite sport
You can have the wine, the port
My teeth were sharp, my teeth were fine
Until we hit that 30’s line
Enamel gone, chipped off by ice,
Tried to ignore dental advice
Cavities in my icy mouth
Five root canals, we’re going south
Pain and awfulness even a bridge
I think twice now when I open that frig

Premium Member Relaxing, Restful Vacation

To all of you who wished me
  a relaxing, restful vacation
Your wishes carried me through
  a bit of aggravation

A little insomnia here
  A cellulitis attack there
Things were going south
  I swear...

But come the Passover Holiday
The Festive mood saved the day

So, thank you once again
  My wonderful poetic friends

Spectator's Soliloquy

Vacant mind filled with vacuous thoughts,
he is diabolical,makes me disconcerting.
Many a time we have fought a lot,
when things were going south,
on his terms I took the roundabout.
Going circles I never realized,
he led me on a rabbit trail,
I made it far, escaped the static, ecstatic,
but he left me at a place no one's ever tread.

Premium Member Chin Up

It would be funny,
Instead, it's sad.
We acquire mouths
Like ventriloquists dummies,
Which can be bad.
Age does this to some,
It occurs around the mouth,
Lines appear at the sides of our lips,
And continue going south.
It's amusing and looks rather *****.
Unlike the ventriloquist's dummy
We can say clear
Chin up, have A BOTTLE OF BEER.

A Soldiers Poem

When the time comes, When all is calm, Where peace is achieved, And all can just live, As my bullets runs out, And all is going south, With another hit I'll drop, In the battlefield I'll die proud, If that happens, don't cry, Just look up to the sky, Smile and say goodbye, Because an honorable death is how I want to die.

Silver Strands

He liked her wrinkles, laughter lines,
Adored her pale age spotted hands,
Admired her body going south,
And loved her hair with silver strands.

She thought his hairfree head was cute,
And loved his double - treble – chin,
She didn’t care his waist was huge,
And didn’t mind his legs were thin.

They met on holiday in Spain,
And both had found true love again.

Lockdown

Locked down tight; can't go out.
Lost in thoughts; filled with doubt.
“Things seem to be going south.
What is this all about?”
I cannot really tell.
But I know Someone well
Who the turmoil can quell,
And cause a happy sequel.

PS: I wrote this poem circa late April-early May 2020, while thinking on the monumental adjustments which humans had to make to their lives, because of Covid-19.

Premium Member If Only Dreams Came True

Putins botched invasion is going south
I think NATO should give him a way out
Chocolates stuffed with TNT
And then set off remotely
As he stuffs them in his fat evil mouth...

Be music to our ears to hear him scream
But sometimes in life things aren't what they seem
I came to with loud beeping
Was woken from my sleeping
And sadly it turned out to be a dream...

Dream's End

The green dream of bliss
Is now swiftly going amiss,
As a harsh reality looms in
To tear me apart from within.

Rejection rests at the tip of her tongue
As our bond still remains too young,
Eternal bliss I will never seem to receive
From her beautiful soul that I cannot deceive.

The blinding light of hope shall burn me out,
Now everything is swiftly going South
To the surface of the finale of my dreams
It cannot happen as it obviously seems.

I Wish I Knew An Erago

Listen to poem:
I wish I knew an erago how words can plex your noggin
At times like sliding down a hill with only your toboggan
Once you start you cannot stop, it feels like going south
One foot on the slippy slope, the other in your mouth

Words obey and forever stay, even when you oopsy doodle
Words command and forever stand, but you have to use your noodle
Words can bend and oft offend, but words are only say
Relax yourself, enjoy the day, put all the words away

Acorn

As I was headed home, a squirrel
Passed me going south.
I noticed him because he had
An acorn in his mouth.

Since winter’s not approaching,
I am curious to know
If squirrels still amass a stash
For when supplies run low.

Or was that nut for dinner
From his daily market run?
Or a late addition to a meal
His family’d just begun?

I have no way to ascertain
What’s stored within his nest
So, like many other mysteries,
I’ll give this one a rest.

Failure

I feel like I'm not worth your timescreamine.
I'm trying but you don't see that.
Perfect I'm not, nor will I ever be.
Even though things are going south,
you still make my heart go pitter-pat.

I'm sorry I'm so hard to love.
Things shouldn't have to be this
hard.
Let's go back to the good old days.
Remember when it was like a greeting
card?

You yell, and I hold my breath,
I scream, and you walk away.
Will this be another argument,
Or will this be like every other day?
