Christmas At Grandma's

It seems the ghost of Christmas Past
Leaves us feeling like we've been gassed
Perhaps that fruitcake
Was a coven-bake
And an age-old spell has been cast?

Unplugged Slug

An orange Tesla that was bought by Scott
Ran out of go juice right there on the spot
Then was quickly passed
By a Pacer, gassed
And AMC car shaped like a kumquat

Food 4 Got

Putin has his butt in a sling
His Korean Smartphone won't ring
Bombs bursting in air
Is Kim Jong-un's fare
Borscht and Kimchee gassed Xi Jinping?

Cool Car

Cool Car
Dr. James E. Martin
©June, 2013

The car was very fast.
It always needed to be gassed.
It took all my dough,
To stay on the go,
No gas station could ever be passed.

Old Blue

The best hunting dog in all Baltimore
Was my butt belching blue dog Amador.
Aghast guests once heard a blast
As Blue exuded his past,
Leaving a thief flat, gassed out on the floor.

Mile Markers

Have gone the extra miles
Retreaded my soul several times
Wept as time faded
In a distant swirl of lost hope
Gassed up, reved the engine
Hit the entrance ramp
Knowing
The extra miles
Are just part of life’s tour

Wind Me Up

Wind me up
  Let me go
Here I come
  I'm in the flow

Sunday, Monday
  moving fast
Tuesday, Wednesday
  Will it last?

Thursday, Friday
  Now I'm gassed
Hurray for Shabbos*
  The week has passed

Stalking Me

inspired to write what I like
an occasion an insight
a person or light
but she comments constant
harassing no compliments
visiting me on
her fizzy grape seed
insulting nasty and lastly
she's ghastly
I bet in her last life she gassed as a Nazi

and then she tells me to leave her alone
one escaped the mental home

fruity little loop cake

'Victory Day' for Whom

     Hitler dead, camps liberated
Justice arrived for those the West hated

Germany squirmed at what the shocked world saw
The Third Reich’s militia seized and declawed…

     80 years later, Jew-hatred’s returned
All the Arabs and Iran do nothing but yearn

For the day when the Jews are gassed once again
Today’s Nazis intend to finish what Hitler began

Aunty Carrie

She was a gentle soul
Who saw the worst
And endured it quietly
The man she loved
Was cruelly taken away

Left to raise two children
She always had a smile
Wanting the best for others
Living a long life
A matriarch to all.

Paying homage to an ordinary woman who lost her husband after the Great War due to being gassed on the Western Front. A gentle and well loved woman.

Why Was I Dead

Why was I dead?
Something I said
Letter you'd read
Made me eat lead?

Way you were bred
Always see red
Such a hot head
Reason has fled.

Lying in bed
Anger you fed
Watched as I bled
Night we were wed.

Courtroom you pled
"Not" of instead
Telling Judge Dred
Murdered poor Fred.

No one was fooled
Saw how you drooled
Photos were shown
Corpse you had known.

Cyanide gassed
Made you a ghost
Now you're at most
Pain that has passed.

Fox Flick

'Fox Flick' from the 1960 Slang Words

Here she goes gimme some skin
with friends in the Friggin ,
She is the flower child
who is always Gassed.

She loves the Hair -Musical
later becomes the radical,
She was the crazy Raddie
who was the sick Puppy.

She loves her real soul
which is the her only rule,
she never goes as the Rattled
because she doesn't want that load.

Red Dog

Red Dog an Aussie of Gypsie proclivities
Pawed rides through the Outback without civilities
When he wished to depart
He let rip a grand fart
Then jumped from the car with much facility
                                              by Robert Gorelick

Red dog the regular hitchhiker
Once leapt up behind a bike rider
The driver rode fast
Until he got gassed
And Red dog flew off in a hyper
                                               by Belle Bellevue

War

They told us it was glorious
They told us it was right
They put some guns into our hands
And told us all to fight

And so we went to battle them
An enemy, well known
Were not to know that some of us
Would have little left but bone

We fought this mighty enemy
We battled them for days
As they poisoned, gassed, and shot at us
We left them in a daze

We came to be victorious
We left with very few
We’ve come to warn the new recruits
Bout what’s awaiting you

Ode To Charlie

You showed us our children
in action.
Who exactly did you kill?
Kind of like Hitler
on the hill at the dacha
while his butchers gassed the innocent.
But, who did he kill?
But then Big Boys
never get their hands dirty,
they just send out the troops.

You showed us our children.
Now you rot in a cell
for you are a threat
to what, I can't tell
but it must be awful
cause you'll die there
as you go through years
of parole sham
and the children
head for Iran.

Aunty Carrie

What quiet times did she have
When she thought of him again
She shed a tear for what was given
As her one love had been stuck down
Gassed on the Western Front
To die from cancer slowly made

And she was left alone to raise alone
Three children struggling through years
That marked her as a poor struggling one
Each day she cleaned and cooked others meals
But in the quiet times she shed her tears
To a man whose duty took him and her best years.

Madd (So Sadd)

Grasp for the clutch,
(clutching on automatic
chances)
clench my jaw –
am I clutch?
no luck.

I gasp! (gassed)
the gas-tank tanked.
Tired I try,
but floppy tires
blunder
like a drove
of drunken thunderbirds.

“Gear up guy! Get some get-go!”
I exhaust, idle
and stammer,
grass spattered,
paint chips scattered,
brakes broke
and steering hammered -

destination
is going,
rear-view gone.

Turn my wheels (or my keys, at least).
Just don’t give me a brake.
