War

They told us it was glorious They told us it was right They put some guns into our hands And told us all to fight And so we went to battle them An enemy, well known Were not to know that some of us Would have little left but bone We fought this mighty enemy We battled them for days As they poisoned, gassed, and shot at us We left them in a daze We came to be victorious We left with very few We’ve come to warn the new recruits Bout what’s awaiting you
