the likeable girl wore jeans and opened -toed shoes
and reminded me of cherry flavoured ice cream
melting in the sun
and in so melting, her jet black , waist-length hair
dripped chocolate and lime, how sublime

Blended spices mixed and
boiled with chicken and rice,
Best with mutton or prawns,
but tastes good even with
basic fresh vegetables!
Blast of flavoured richness!
Bewitching special treat!

Pleiades
Palm trees at sunset
When sky displays golden glow
Silhouettes abound.
Warmth flavoured with spice
Hinting of eucalyptus
First mosquito bite.
Humid midnight hour
Chorus of the insect world
Mosquito net down.

Green
tender
flavoured leaves,
coriander
delights in taste and
looks. They have beautiful
tiny flowers with two,
three petals. Their fruits
are small, round, green
edible
just like
leaves

slipped away
metallic taste of blood
lingers on my tongue
grieving wine of life
sweet life
flavoured salt and iron
greets a morning
mourning her loss
anger burns as fire
denial laughs falsely
the clock’s alarms today
yesterday she was here
holding my hand smiling.

A vaper does not really care
If anyone can breathe fresh air
With flavoured dung
Dusting a lung
They're happy just to have a spare!
Vaping delights their lungs and blood
Like blowing smoke as thick as mud
Repeated use
Tightens the noose
Until their heart can't beat the crud.

The old man in his pipe ignites
a cherry-flavoured forest fire
inhaling deep its sweet delights
The old man in his pipe ignites
forgotten sunsets, summer nights
the scents of roses and desire
The old man in his pipe ignites
a cherry-flavoured forest fire

There was an old sauce chef from Killarney,
Whose Irish stew, was flavoured with blarney.
While he quaffed bottles of hock,
That was infused with shamrock.
Which spiced up his special bouquet garni.

Franny rode a ferris-wheel,
Franny rode a horse,
When she ate a hot dog
She always dripped the sauce.
Franny rode the ghost-train,
Franny rode the dipper,
When she drank her flavoured ice
She was a noisy sipper.
Franny rode the dodgems,
Franny rode the tractor,
When she ate her fairy floss
It looked like it had attacked her.

Do you remember
the first time we met?
I do: it was on a warm
sundae afternoon.
There were gales
of mischief and glee
all around, each cradling
a clear plastic bag,
with a treat of tumbleweed
trying to escape the rim:
banana, toffee or
vanilla flavoured
cotton candy; or
were they woolly fibres -
similar to the strands that
intermingle in your felted hair?

sweet jelly baby
never dances but allures
tongue dances while tastes
sometimes seen with cap
they are colorfully dressed
just needs few pennies
Note: Jelly baby is a flavoured candy or sweet.

Goody Goody Gum drops,
It was an expression of delight
When children saw this treat
Their eyes lit up like stars at night
The inventor Murray Taylor
Concocted this ice cream treat
That was bubble gum flavoured ice cream
Filled with gum drops. What a treat.
Over the years, Goody Gumdrops lost its favour,
But the expression Goody Goody Gumdrops
It is an adage of delight for us all to still savour.

Two dazzling dainty darlings,
Delightful flowers on a tree,
Fancy pretence funny role-play,
Sing alluring songs, no worry!
Favourite choice playing house,
Invite friends to flavoured tea,
Decorative cups and pots as well,
Welcoming hosts, amazing to see!
Decked gracefully, embellished hair,
Blushing cheeks, gorgeous smile,
Angelic beauty of innocence,
Oh my, what a captivating style!

Words are three dimensional
Coloured
Textured
Flavoured
Three dimensions and more
Bright notes
Undertones
And hidden accents
Savoured
As over my tongue they roll
Poems like ice cream
Melt in my mouth
As idea bouquets unfurl
And why I have trouble
Reading long pieces
The larger and harder they're served
I get an ice cream headache
Taking too big a bite
Or they melt faster
Than I can taste every word

NATO over Libya
They know the way
where is your servant, they asked?
Drowned in a moot, he told tales about us
the story was the veracity
Our *********** was private.
You cannot open a tin of sardines
thinking it is olive flavoured.
They wanted the power the old dictator had
The one who gave them free education.
Our revolution was not new but greed.
We were laughed at, so hurtful
in our hands became a failed state.

Fiesta.
Feeling of excitment,
Festival of Christmas,
Frollicking I arrange,
Flavoured cake for display,
Framboise drink is my choice,
Flutist plays Santa's tunes,
Fragrance of love prevails.
P.S- Pleiades is a seven line poem with six syllables each. Each line begins with the first letter of the title.

Yesterday
I'm afraid to say
I spilled a plate of Ruby curry
Allover my computer
And now it's sadly dead
I was so upset with myself I went to bed
I cleaned it the best I coold
But still also it was' no good
Now I have to have it repaired
Good job I have computer on my TV
I fell so silly
Curry and computers don't mix
Don't TRy it at home
Or it will cost a lot to fix.
Anyone want to buy a computer cheap?.
RIP Ethel.

Opting to feel, rather than think,
sensing energy flow in form,
as a non-doer we receive
hues of bliss flavoured with love’s ink
and as we’re centred in this storm,
soul’s at peace when ego begs leave.
The simple shift from head to heart,
is really all that’s needed
for soul to transmute as God’s light,
causing bliss ignition to start,
that with will to Him conceded,
we see Him clearly in plain sight.
God calls to us, let us respond,
forging with love, a lifelong bond.

I remember your kiss
Our tongues in chicks
The taste of your caress
Your love of silly tricks
I smile to myself
Your passion still lingers
Who to fill this lonely life
Stroke of your silky fingers
I remember your lips
Your flavoured mouth
Their succulent tips
Wondering are of earth
I loved you babe
I named you after a star
You never left me
Your shine is never far
The time spent together
The travels to the moon
The new thoughts we gathered
Creating our honeymoon
