Bridge across planets
Loudspeaker to universe
Can you hear my heart?
for Gareth's Contest: "Familiarity Unknown"
Charted lanes of custom,
complacency alights
familiarity trumping all
—mindless in the night
(Dreamsleep: October, 2021)
The train whistle puffs
Frail familiarity
A world passes by
Muffled train sounds die away
White clouds of smoke drift behind
See the Milky Way
Through the eye of a needle
Natures thread of life

You're a metaphor
Unfamiliar, expressing
Familiarity!

Constellations shine
over the maroon cave' mouth
and eerie darkness.
Entered in Gareth James's contest,
" Familiarity Unknown"
Pure Black Velvet grasps
diamonds that hold endless thoughts-
we know so little.

sometimes the strangers
come as helper suddenly
where known are doubtful
loyalty of dog- stronger
where human avoids Savior

Have I really found my true sincere and safe sanctuary
In something other than my once onesided poetry...?
Upon meeting; a reunion filled with familiarity.
In the distance familiarity
touches my very soul.
Something so powerful
it draws me to itself with
the expectantcy of things to
come just call it hope.
I always sense your sincerity,
I am aware, how we are void of familiarity,
But know always, I understand entirely,
What it means to love others unconditionally.
Friend
Comforting familiarity
Lasting a lifetime
Yet even lifetimes end
Memories
Memories
Laughing uncontrollably
We should not
That makes it funnier
Hilarity
Defeated dusk light
Heart beating to the dozen
Waning dawn darkness
Something to make the ladies blush.
for Gareth James' "Familiarity Unknown" Haiku contest
They fly like bees,
sense like nose,
and greedy like ducks,
to eat dirty things.
I hate them a lot,
because of their life,
familiarity and greed,
to eat dirty food.
Familiarity breeds contempt they say
Just as absence makes the heart grow fonder
Is this the reason couples fight and stray
Seeking their true love way out yonder?

Who were these people whom I feel for familiarity?
Who am I really, when finding this clarity?
Who are we in this time of reenacting memories?
Who were we in the history of our stories?
When leaving our abode for a short sojourn
We realize how much home comforts we yearn
Home means familiarity
Home means security
No need to impress bumble along unconcerned
When leaving our abode for a short sojourn
We realize how much home comforts we yearn
Home means familiarity
Home means security
No need to impress just humble along unconcerned
When leaving our abode for a short sojourn
We realize how much home comforts we yearn
Home means familiarity
Home means security
No need to impress just bumble along unconcerned
When leaving our abode for a short sojourn
We realize how much home comforts we yearn
Home means familiarity
Home means sincerity
No need to impress just bumble along unconcerned
One fine span on earth
One glorious span in space
Both God's Handiwork

Dont brake the silence
dont say a word
my miscalculation was big
my mistake was bold
I cant see in your eyes
what I was looking for
familiarity played a type of trick
I had never seen before.

a billion eyes watch
as darkness blankets sight of
mystifying souls

Familiarity Does Breed Contempt
Contempt can often be bred by familiarity,
And an ideal environment appeals to parity;
We tried to find,
But left behind,
Fear from despair they created by disparity.
