Premium Member The Little Old Lamb
There once was this little old lamb
Who wanted to live in a dam

But a wise beaver
Said I can’t be a weaver

Friends are choices, unlike a fam!...

The Fam
Mu uncle Franklin
was a pro wrestler.
He lit up a room
like Nikola Tesla.

My aunt Judy
was a cake maker.
Her cakes were tall
like an LA Laker.

My brother Steve
played video games
-until my mom Kate
called him names.

Kate, to her credit
was a fine, fine artist.
But with brains, forget it.
I am the smartest....

Poetry Poet Me
In Love With Ink I Am.
Who Else Has My Back Except Fam.
I Write Poetry To Release The Poet In Me
I'm A Beast So Breatheless.
So I Hardley Speak
Why Do People Talk
What's Their Purpose
Words Hurt So Language
& Grammar Is Worthless
My Bestfriend Didn't Teach Me
That SilenceIsGolden For Nothing
Face Expressions Tell It All
When I'm All Out Of Ink Who
Do I Call...Silence...

soul to feed
smile to give
chance to live

Broken
I didn't know that all this could happen
He thought that he was a simp
But instead he was a noow
He used to think that he was flexing yet cheugy

This became salty when I got sus
When his fam told me of his dirty plans
I had to ghost so as to calm myself
Since he was acting so crashy

Getting off was the best idea though
I was hurt when I knew no cap
Later realized that shipping wasn't Gucci...

Premium Member The Soup Pot
I searched for a poetry site
found quite a few that weren't right
 then this wonderful group
 called poetry soup
 made me feel just "write"

I knew nothing of forms or meter
 syllable counting was sweeter
 In this soup pot
 I learnt quite a lot
 And my writing got neater

 I entered contests at times
with poems both fun and sublime
 and so here I am
with my poetry fam
enjoying both free verse and rhyme...

Premium Member I Saw a Grackle
Listen to poem:
Today, I saw a grackle
(fam. Icteridae) -- a common sight --
braving the wind atop a post
among parked (and moving) cars.

Feathers ruffled in the gusty air,
it was not spooked
by movement, engine noise,
or human presence.

It seemed to me to make a show
of avian bravado; but, in truth,
it could not ever know
what mischief might be wrought,
purposely or not, upon such creatures
by other creatures (such as us.)...

Stone Age
Hunting wooly mammoths
Using flint sphears
Nearly getting killed by tusks
Fires cooking
Eating in our caves
Recording our lives

In the stone age !!

So simple
Sitting round-chilling by the fire
No worrying
No hurrying
Hanging with the fam
Got no time for the feds
Got no time for the teach

In the stone age !!

Love so deep
When he leaves
Hope so low
Fear so high
Yet love so deep

In the stone age !!!...

: Dance Fam
We stand in a room filled with dance
What most people say can’t be a real sport
Like you can’t be a sport without a lance
Or a ball and a court

We work for hours on balance and turns
We stomp and chug for hours on end
Running to the lobby to see the ferns
I need more energy to lend

Who gets to decide what a real sport is
We work hard and practice for days
And all we get from you is fizz
But we still love to play...

My Poetry Fam
To all the members of PoetrySoup
This is a poem for all in the group
I'm glad I joined, loved it since day one
And reading the poems is plenty of fun

Thanks for all comments and thoughts you share
It feels good when I see a new comment there
I want to get to know as much as I can
About my new and awesome poetry fam

Keep posting a poem
And thank you for making me feel at home
Have a great day my poetry sisters
And you too all my poetry misters...

With Out
Its not a home without you,
No kids,
No laughing,
No love,
Just the memories,
No hugs,
No comfort,
No love for me to give,
Only human that I am,
Please come back home,
Let us be whole again,
Without you,
A whole left empty in my heart,
Please fulfill it,
Make me whole,
Fill the void,
Don't depart,
Without you,
My love is a float,
Please come back home,
Lead our journey through,
In this home,
For all of us to continue to be fam......
