Joseph May Poet Limerick

The Soup Pot

I searched for a poetry site
 found quite a few that weren't right
 then this wonderful group
 called poetry soup
 made me feel just "write"

 I knew nothing of forms or meter
 syllable counting was sweeter
 In this soup pot 
 I learnt quite a lot
 And my writing got neater

 I entered contests at times
 with poems both fun and sublime
 and so here I am
with my poetry fam
 enjoying both free verse and rhyme
