Hit and Miss
I don't breathe,
The air only escapes,
Out of holes in my neck,
Dripping words down onto my hands,
After applying exasperated ink,
The exhausted paper drapes,
As the second joker in a deck,
Unused in games of sport and unwanted by popular demand....

Enmeshed Heart
Transfixed
Exasperated
Unsure

Motives, dreams
changing, slipping
controlled passion
over whelming desires;

Intricate heart schemes
Thrown like a dice
Turn up love buds
growing obstinately
amidst thorns

Delicate and alluring colours
white, pink, blue
Thrilling the soul....

Premium Member Read a Book To Your Brother
Why don’t you read a book to your brother?
This suggestion was made by her old grandmother.
She gave her grandma a pretty exasperated look.
Not knowing how exciting it is to share a good book.
Her brother was thrilled and snuggled beside her hard.
Sister loved sharing happy poems from her favorite bard....

Pause
It seems a disillusioned but repetitive moment
when thought and imagery fade away and disappear
and every attempt, eager and exasperated as it is
fails word or phrase in poetic form,
worry not
it's just a pause in reconstruction
of rhythm, flow or rhyme
 and with efforts strained
it will return again....

Premium Member Oldster Blows Past the Copper
Sorry officer, the old lady apologizes as she is stopped for speeding.
Her Chevy is rocking out to seventies music
A debonair old geezer in a sports car blows past them
going at least a hundred and ten
Officer looks exasperated.
Gets on walkie talkie
No answer.
Jumps on motorcycle and takes off
Woman texts her husband “Thanks sweetie!”...

Lost By Jason Feria 8th Grade
I am unsure of what to do
I'm speechless
I feel so isolated
I am unsure of where to find help

I'm very confused
I have no idea where I went wrong
My life seems monotonous
I can get a little exasperated sometimes

I am hopeful to find someone new
I've been emotional... I guess life moves on
The situation was painful
I am in need of talking to someone new...

The Desperation of Poetry
sadness
adrift
sorrows ensue
I feel lonely
angry, tired
exasperated

the hours go by
I count the minutes at work
waiting for the time to go

the desperation of poetry
not lost to me
I slip into it again
one more time
trying to feel the rhythm

of the words as they glide
across the page

the effort of writing takes away the worry
I can disappear into myself for awhile
and forget about things....

I need just a touch of blue the young designer said.
In her hair?

On her lips?
No.
Contacts?
The designer looked exasperated - on her forehead. Paint it.
We thought this was strange but we did it, to please her.
This magazine cover won all kinds of awards.
A fluke of youth?
No. This was forty years ago, and she is still winning awards
For her fabulous innovative magazine covers....

Conundrums
Abandoned shoeprints
pressed between night and day.

Muddy, empty, discarded,
throats wide open,
mouths mutely appealing,
tongues untied,

revealed in the act
of escaping
both dark and light.

Two elderly men sip tea.
The loud ticking of a communal clock.
Unshod feet shuffle in white cotton.

Perpetual twilight stirs milk
in dimming eyes.
Exasperated attendants hunt
for lost shoes....

Premium Member Age Four Comes Easily
I see age four
Standing in the long school hallway
By his lonesome

Exasperated preschool teacher three doors up, watching.
I know her hands are full with another four-year-old
Who is also a run away.

I introduce myself.
Ask who he is. He mumbles something I cannot hear.
His name badge tells me his name.

I ask where he is going. He says “My mama’s house.”
He takes my hand and walks with me.
Easy peasy....

Exasperated Written: by “Miracle Man” 7/10/2018 I’ve days when I find myself exasperated, From eying baggage that I’ve stored aft; Things rushed into that should have waited, I’m always distressed by another downdraft. When warm and fuzzy is no longer my norm, And not much is inducing me to feel elated. I know I must weather another day’s storm, While remaining the man that time has dated.

Let Go the Ego
"I was right", and "You were wrong".
The turmoil of noise , overblows along.
Rage agitates, a scapegoat is blamed.
Trapped in Ego, the "We" gets maimed.

A deep breath , through my Wisdom tooth.
As introspection , liberates the truth,...
I control and cut off, the shackles of past.
An exasperated Ego, finds peace at last.

Acquiesce (ak-wee- ESS” By: Miracle Man 12-5-2019 I’ve never been accused of having finesse, I get to the point without using much tact. Most times without showing acquiesce, I cover the bases, without being abstract. But now, I’m endeavoring to gingerly tread, Yet sometimes I still become exasperated. So to others my words won’t be misread, My conversation abruptly becomes truncated. My Birthday Poem

Heartache
There is that sadness of grief
that creeps in, tight and oppressive,
squeezing the very beat of the heart
drawing it in, in unspeakable pain and heartache
as it struggles for breath, understanding, logic,
only to breathe in exasperated sobbing gasps
denying the acceptance of an inexpressible loss
that clutches clings and lingers to forge
 a forever in the memory
of you
 gone.

Moon's Spoon of Peanut Butter
Crackling mischief waxes every new moon; Moon, the plaited devil
three harvests blue, summits the everest shelf to scrape out crunchy
goodness, and scurries away, with exasperated steps in tow.
