There was vibrancy as well,

Is passing to another age,
Mine Memories,
My Memories,
With remembrance of early youth,
As always,
Merge with now,
It changed,
As I grew,
By my father hand.
Then stayed as haven 'till we sold it.
Pop passed 'bout 30 years back,
Moms been gone but 3,
I'll still go to the old environs
And watch it change again....

Transplanted, I have planted a garden, thrived

Without any research, butternuts survived
But in my pot and that of a friend's -
We grew Mint, Coriander, Hot Peppers, Lentils

The last was a challenge: to clean off the chaff
Transplanted, I planted again in Africa
Marigolds, Neem, Geranium, even white Lilies...

The breeze turns luring
Scent sticks to leaf blades
Herbs are so curing

Soft healing touches
Environs stand thrilled

Touches soul caress
Perfume tinges tempt
Cosmos seems to bless

Scenes aroma sheen

Woven into the fibers of every rug
  Burnished in the grains of hardwood floors
Shining in the panes of sun-lit windows
  Carved in stately oaken doors

Sensory apparatus
Thus so languishing
In hypnotic stupor
Yet heart yearns for
Soul's luminescence

Governed by instinct 
Fickle egoic attention
Having separated itself
From womb of God's love
Is tragically blown away
In winds of uncertainty
Of duality remorseless

We are where
We choose to be
So we may dream on
Or decide to wake up
Our life, our choice
Yet pulse of love whispers
“Oh child, please be still”
