September
dizzy environs
season's metamorphosis ---
rainbows all around

The Puissant One
The lotus grows even in dirty waters, standing puissant with poise in such a manner that it's environs are obscured by the grandeur and confidence emanating from it.

Woozy Winter
white corals around
landscapes sparkle in pure white ---
adder snakes creep on creepers

white furs and sponges
ornament the environs ---
white fox innocently blinks

     Into racially charged environs
        burst cattlemen with branding irons

Followed, fortunately, by squadcars' screaming sirens
Whew... Sure glad those were 'dry runs'...

August
An alluringly ardent ambiance appears
Uplifting breeze and wind play music of the spears
Gorgeous flora and fauna display rainbow shows
Umbrageous trees, in the coolness of drizzles, doze
Serene, silent sacredness seems to fill the earth
Tranquil therapeutic environs bring rebirth...

Exotic elephants excitedly
Enclose Eastern entertainers
Entering exclusive environment;
Expeditiously excluding entry
Every evening except Easter,
Exceptionally expedient exposure
Ensures elephant’s environs.

A Nourishing Subject
No nourishment drawn from consuming
wolves and lions
It's the harmless tame creatures who grace
the environs
Nature produced them for their beauty and
grace
But now on dinner tables they have a secured
a place
Once drawing breath they have become
putrefying flesh
And fluid seeps forth staining zephyrs with
osmi of death...

My Environs
My environs, filled with sirens,
Rarely seems serene.
Add some snow plows to the mix
And picture what I mean.

Yes, it’s gritty in the city
But, in years gone by,
There was vibrancy as well,
A permanent supply.

Now the flavor I’d once savor
Packed its bags and left,
While we who stayed just hear the noise
And shake our heads, bereft....

What I like to call my moms house
Is passing to another age,
Mine Memories,
My Memories,
With remembrance of early youth,
As always,
Merge with now,
It changed,
As I grew,
By my father hand.
Then stayed as haven 'till we sold it.
Pop passed 'bout 30 years back,
Moms been gone but 3,
I'll still go to the old environs
And watch it change again....

Abandon
Absolutely surrendering to the amusements of fate
Benign benevolent sentiments within bring bodacious bait
Abiding austerely into the ageless absurd fits and starts
Never negotiating with nature's nebulous nuptial new arts
Divine decorum dazzling dawn is what the environs drive at
Obscure oasis of the omnipotent ominously pat
Nefarious, nauseous nostalgic nemesis kneels as a gnat

Transplanted I Planted In Africa
When Corona came, I was on Reunion Island
Indian Ocean environs, nearer native South Africa ...
Transplanted, I have planted a garden, thrived

Without any research, butternuts survived
But in my pot and that of a friend's -
We grew Mint, Coriander, Hot Peppers, Lentils

The last was a challenge: to clean off the chaff
Transplanted, I planted again in Africa
Marigolds, Neem, Geranium, even white Lilies...

Aroma
Perfect petal plumes
Mist-mixed sappy seeds
Buds moving from wombs

Sappy seeds scatter
Incense fills the breeze
Leaves, with twigs, clatter

The breeze turns luring
Scent sticks to leaf blades
Herbs are so curing

Leaf blades fragrance filled
Soft healing touches
Environs stand thrilled

Touches soul caress
Perfume tinges tempt
Cosmos seems to bless

Tinges tempt the scene
Scenes aroma sheen

Roses
truth in true form
withstand storm
minds transform
has their corm
beauty-norm
less deform
look lukewarm
duties perform

stands every great celebrity
spell-bound in their beauty
their smell is like fruity
aren't they so cutie?
having them is booty
midst environs sooty
though they look bit snooty
my pen bleeds as though her duty

Premium Member A Recipe of Love - Revised
Woven into the fibers of every rug
Burnished in the grains of hardwood floors
Shining in the panes of sun-lit windows
  Carved in stately oaken doors

Gleaming in newly polished silver chalice
A recipe of love, a woman's dearest wish
The sparkle of her kitchen, aglow on each utensil
Baked into her every dinner's dish

Seeking patterns
Familiar environs
Sensory apparatus
Thus so languishing
In hypnotic stupor
Yet heart yearns for
Soul's luminescence

Governed by instinct
Fickle egoic attention
Having separated itself
From womb of God's love
Is tragically blown away
In winds of uncertainty
Of duality remorseless

We are where
We choose to be
So we may dream on
Or decide to wake up
Our life, our choice
Yet pulse of love whispers
“Oh child, please be still”
