Every Clergy Is An Ox
every clergy is an ox
wearing heavy yoke
drawing wooden plow
across the farmland
of people’s vibrant sins
endeavoring to weed
the mess in their souls...

Disconcerted Hourglass
Caress the aching tears of 'morrows it rains in regret's remembrances, sustained of sand-like grit 'tween frothy mimsy and mayhem endeavoring to rise above the fray within prayer's favor mid escaped disconcertion of seeping hourglass sand, weeping 'neath copious cloudbursts

Premium Member An Aphotic Place
There's an aphotic place; found within my percipience
Endeavoring; I will face it past, present, future-tense
My hope is that its destination; is evanescence
Support in overcoming it, you; will my persistence
As everything is rising to a convergence
May that one percent; never find its resurgence...

Acquiesce (ak-wee- ESS” By: Miracle Man 12-5-2019 I’ve never been accused of having finesse, I get to the point without using much tact. Most times without showing acquiesce, I cover the bases, without being abstract. But now, I’m endeavoring to gingerly tread, Yet sometimes I still become exasperated. So to others my words won’t be misread, My conversation abruptly becomes truncated. My Birthday Poem

Sparring With Pain Written: by Tom Wright 10-21-2016 Entering each day’s fight I’ve total disdain, The fighter I face uses the moniker, pain, I hook and jab endeavoring to stay on top. His presence I may slow but rarely can stop. I’ve tried to drug him but that didn’t work, So I’ve reached a conclusion that’s quite sage. It hasn’t been ring savvy, grit, or footwork, Pain unmasked revealed my true foe was Age.

Premium Member Echoes of Brilliant Blue
Echoes of brilliant blue as it dims at dusk,
a rebirth in the sweet scent of cool moist earth.
A lapis lazuli before dawn, mere husk,
a bond with no interest in severing.
Subdued by loving and ever endeavoring
to pluck the ripened unearth passion fruit worth
the heart of the ocean both wild and calm musk.

Endeavoring to earn a needle in a high stack. Such a story could be said to be pebbly. I'd admire to be by a moving plane slack. Step onward to the top mark of the mountain. To discover Paradise, I'll sail the ocean. Then, the matchless clock began to strike badly. However, I hide behind a delicate, humble fiction. Lose all resources totally in a fantasy yack.

Overflowing Pride Written: by Tom Wright November 2015 With remains now scattered to forever meander, Let my pride in his armed service remain swollen. Now seated in muteness and with mental gander, Endeavoring to call back years that I deem stolen; Though Joe’s ashes now rest in some field alone, And many, perchance, will blank out his name. He will never become just a disregarded stone, But an additional reminder of war’s cruel game;

After the Fizz
By the gray rivers flowing, the recently revived,
bob along like Champaign corks in the swift current.

The dead always pop too soon,
even when
you pull their corks with long lamentations.
The fizz-fuse keeps burning.

Morning finds them on-going,
restored and drifting among the detritus
of our own sad endings.

They are not ghosts, you gave them names,
but they do not answer when you call.
They instead, bump against the riverbanks
endeavoring to once again, come ashore....

Premium Member God Bless the Usa
God Bless the USA Written: by Tom Wright 7-9-2016 If you’re dissatisfied with your place in the world, For whatever rationale, take my advice and move. Try soaring beyond the situation you’re found in, Stop endeavoring to pull others into your groove; Location won’t change the pigment of your skin, Or dismantle the presence of discrimination's sprawl. Let prejudice never become a cause of our chagrin, While not letting the actions of a few define us all.
